I really did not know if I would start this thread today or not ... being up 3 pounds almost had me throw up my hands and say what the heck, I'm done ... But after talking to a few fellow throwdownrs who were kind enough not to tell me to get off my pity pot and make clear current victories "out weigh" the report from those blasted scales I will man up ....

I hope all of you have had a great week and can report great strides in the downward direction!! ...

RW&B Starting Weight: 202
Today's Weight: 214

Hang in there, Cooker -- not just for yourself -- a lot of us depend on you!

Superbob started monthly B-12 injections at the doc's office today -- at the doc's suggestion. Don't know what direction this is taking me but hope it's headed toward more energy/more vigorous exercise/more weight reduction.
:smile2:
Anyway, SB will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Hang in there , Cooker and keep working toward your goal. You should weigh yourself on another scales and compare.Maybe your old scale is lying to you!

I will report my weigh tomorrow. You all have a great Memorial Day weekend.

The scales look "good" today, but I think I will go with tomorrow's weight. If I lose a little more, then I will have a lower number to chase following the Memorial Day week-end.

I've had a tough week, and I found myself eating cookies Wednesday. That's something I haven't done in a few months, so I'll have to watch it. The Farmer's Market is open today so I'm going there to check out the fresh fruit and vegetables. Maybe I can get excited about salad.:tongue2:

Cooker, you are the man. You've done a terrific job with the Throwdown, and I appreciate your willingness to start the thread week after week.:smile2:

I'll weigh in now. Tomorrow may be too busy. No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I've just been MIA. Work has been insane, and there's no end in sight. Can I just split me like an amoeba so I have more time to get stuff done? Of course, I'd have to split the boss into two also, 'cause I can't do anything without his input, and he's buried deeper than I am.

137.4

Where does that leave me on the race? I dunno. Part of it is water, and I won't get a good read on where I am until I see the cardio in June and bully him into increasing my diuretics back to where I was between surgeries. It's hard to keep working at the exercise and diet when the scale goes up no matter how little I eat or how much I work out.

Cooker, I'm ready to throw in the towel myself some days. Doing our best day to day is all we can do. Hang in there buddy!

It's one of those weeks for our Throwdowners. To report in when you're disgusted is a positive step, IMO.

Cooker, you'll turn it around in time. Your body and mind are still adjusting. I've been working on my mind for a long time..hehe.

Mary, I understand how you found yourself eating cookies. I want to know though, did you send yourself to stand in the corner or did you join in with yourself. My self would have joined in.

Laurie, I can see how frustrated you'd be. Hope you're able to whip your doc into submission so that you start feeling better.

SB, I hope the B-12 shots help you bunches. A superhero on B-12 shots could result in really big things!

Howdy Nelson.

Cindy will weigh tomorrow or Saturday.

As for me, my first week back on WW ended up successful. I went from 183.3 to 179.3. That's a 4 pound loss for the week and -3.7 for the RW&B. I have to say I think the new WW plan will work better for me. It's really designed to encourage you to eat fruit and veggies. We'll see how this goes.

Superbob appears to be down four-tenths of one pound over the past week (big whoop; but of course if we converted from steel weight, that would be a lot). Superbob is going to have to calculate his net loss for the Red, White, and Blue -- maybe do that after Memorial Day when we enter the stretch drive.

I have my walk in, starting the day on a positive note ... my goal for the RW&B is to to get back to my starting weight and at least not finish as the biggest gainer:biggrin2:

Wise, way to go!! ... I would not be myself if I did not remind you that bananas are fruit and ergo banana pudding should be acceptable :biggrin2:

Since you mention banana pudding and its main ingredient, I'll say that I have eaten a lot more bananas than usual the past week. Bananas are free on this plan. As for the pudding, not free. I can't eat dairy or gluten, so when I eat bananas I'll just consider them banana pudding.

I went to the Farmer's Market yesterday to buy fresh salad ingredients. I was ambushed by Amish ladies selling rhubarb pie, and you know the rest of the story.:rolleyes2::redface2::biggrin2:

Last week: 155.5
This week: 154.5

Loss of 1 lb.

Nothing but fellow rednecks at our market: Today, we bought a dozen ears of sweet corn, pole beans, cantaloupe, okra, and just for pretend, a few of them hothouse tomatoes that taste like cardboard but look pretty. (The real thing will be in from the fields in two weeks -- yummo!) :smile2::smile2::smile2:

and good goin', Duffster --- a loss is a loss is a loss! : )

Down is better than up. Keep up the good work everyone. My weight remains the same 163.

 Good job! The same is good!!!

Way to go Duffster! Got to watch those Amish, an evil bunch when it comes to enticing us with goodies:biggrin2:

Cindy says "I don't understand....sigh..." Her weight this week is 146.3. Up 1.5 from two weeks ago, even with Weight Watchers.
