How the heck is everybody? ... I hope all are well and living large!!!:smile2: ... I'm down one pound from last week but still up 1.5 for the sprint ... I have had a lot going on but we all do so I'm not making any excuses ... I have decided that this weight loss thing is hard for two reasons ...

1. I love to eat
2. I love to eat

In the past 6.5 years I have given up lots of stuff and started a few thing that needed to be started and I just can't totally give up my last vice (food) ... So for now I am going to try and maintain and lose a pound or two when I can ... No more crashing the weight and then regaining, it's just to hard and exasperating ... Maybe I'm at the weight my body wants to be and it's my problem if I don't like that weight .... Acceptance is the key, maybe ... Enough of this philosophical crap:rolleyes2: .... off to lunch ... peace out ... :cool2:

Sprint To 11-11-11 Starting Weight: 207.5
Last Week weight: 210
This Week:209

I'm working hard to stay in the same place. I changed my WW weigh in date to Friday, so I'll report tomorrow. I MUST get some work done today, while bosses are out for Rosh Hashanah.
Happy New Year everyone!

Oh come on, Chimp, food is not a "vice." And neither man nor simian can live by fiber bars alone. :tongue2: Or yogurt for that matter.....

Superbob forgot all about the Throwdown because he is still celebrating the Cardinals making it into the playoffs (no offense to Braves fans).... so SB will try to calm down enough to weigh tomorrow morning. Probably have burned extra calories jumping up and down and screaming for the Redbirds...:biggrin2: SB also got an outdoor swim in yesterday, and maybe today too before arrival of the cool weather. Then need to shift to the "Y" pool, which is considerably less scenic. ;)

CanoeBob has moved to a new apt, been very busy and stressed with that! Had to eat fast food, pizza and Wendys for 3 days til the kitchen came together. My system is not used to culinary quickness and complained bitterly. My weight, I'll do it tomorow I think may be lower and bust the 200lb barrier! The scales will decide. Bob

I'm down .6 for the week, to a flat 137.0

Of course, I've been hovering at this point for MONTHS, so no matter what the scale says, I won't believe I'm starting to lose this 5 extra lbs until I get back below 135.
Maintenance sucks, and the first/last 5 lbs are the hardest. I truly can't remember the last time I was at my goal weight of 132.

But I did increase my elliptical resistance again today... I'm up to 3! Woo Hooo (sarcasm intended, but it is soooooo difficult).

Jet's got an agility trial all weekend, so that should worry off a pound or two. I don't expect to qualify, as our team work has been rather sucky lately. I decreased my coreg this week, and I hope that will give me more energy to run. I can walk or work on the elliptical for about 30 minutes, but one 60 second flat out run just turns me into toast.

My prior post blew up. New firefox issue?
I'm at 137.0, down .6, but since I'm working on getting back down to my goal weight, these first/last 5 lbs that I put on are very difficult.

I'm trying a different approach to dealing with my scales this week.:cool2:
I've made an appointment with a psychologist, because I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THEM! :mad2:Counseling is definitely in order, for the scales, not me!:biggrin2:
Any hoo . . . I'm up a pound and a half.:frown2:
Last week: 154.5
This week: 156
1 pound loss for the race

Congrats on the losses. Cooker, preach it brother! Of course referring to your two point sermon "I love to eat. I love to eat."

Duffey, hang in there. However, I was looking forward to the youtube video of your weight scale's execution. I will wait until the psychoscalebabble fails.

SB and Nelson, staying the same is a good thing. I would have traded a lot of gains for a "stay."

Canoebob. Moving does present the "opportunity" to grab quick food. If you pull off a loss, good for you.

As for me, here's my report for this week:

WISE:

Starting Weight: 184.4
Last Week: 184.3
This Week: 183.8
Weekly Loss: -.5
Loss for the race: .6

I am pleased with a loss at all. I had three restaurant burgers this week (with my own bun). However, I have actually gotten into a routine of walking and other exercise this week. If slow and easy wins the race, I've the got slow part down.

Hi Everyone! I did it!!! I busted the 200 lb barrier! Weight this morning 199 and a half lb. Waist measurment 38 in, up a half in. It's an overall loss of 27 lb since March and a 5 in loss in waist too. I've been waiting to crow all day, very busy but stress level down. I'll check in mid week with any change, could be up in weight who knows. Bob

Great job CanoeBob! Congrats on breaking the 200 lb barrier. That's a commendable achievement, especially in the midst of moving.

Well you might have thought I dropped off the face of the planet - but I didn't. Work has been a killer and when I wasn't working I was eating - birthday fell in there too. Excuses, Excuses....

I never posted my starting weight for the race to 11-11-11. It was 210.2 - I wrote it down long ago - trust me. That by the way is 3.2 lbs up from my starting weight on the race to Labor Day. Not good! I don't think I need to train anymore for Yo Yo Queen. I got it down.

I read with interest and amusement all the posts from the last couple of weeks. Enough to know that SB has some nasty things ruled out from his tests. Wise nearly got bopped on the head for even considering posting Cindy's measurements (surely grounds for divorce) and Optimus has joined our presence and doing well it sounds like - Glad to have you on board. The Chimp is a good friend to Bill whom I hope is recovering well and he is getting frustrated but not giving up. Duffey has mutilated her scales altogether.. Agility Dog and Nelson are hanging in too.

I too think I may mutilate my scales - they are missing a couple of 'springy thingies' on the bottom and I think that has them all mixed up. When I get on them they go all over the place before they finally settle down. I just don't trust them. I think it is time to take a chain saw to them.

Seriously I've just been soo bad. I was thinking of a rhyme my mother used to tell me, but I can't remember it exactly. Something like there once was a girl...... curl in the middle of her forehead. When she was good she was very very good but when she was bad she was awful. That awful girl has been me!

Back on track again starting last week. I walked three times at least and ate healthy. I'll try to hang in better from now on. It does help me so much to check in here and know that I am not alone in my quest to be healthy. CanoeBob - now what were you measurements again? I really liked the sound of them and I could actually imagine your silhouette in my minds' eye.

Later losers..... I'll weigh in on my crazy scales tomorrow and see what number they land on! Kind of like Wheel of Fortune!:biggrin2:

Rhena, I've got dibs on . . .

There once was a girl
Who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead.
And when she was good
She was very, very good
But when she was bad,
She was horrid.

Yep, that's me.

Regarding my recent conflict with the scales, I've taken the high road.:cool2:
I haven't weighed since last week . . . restraining order in effect.:wink2:

CanoeBob, glad to see you meeting your goal of getting below 200. Superbob last weighed below 200 when he was in, like, the fifth grade. :D Of course, there is all that steel weight.:biggrin2:

TexasWildFlower (Rhena), glad to see you back here, sweetie. All is better with you here.

SB wonders if anyone else here has had an experience like this: Just got an Explanation of Benefits from my massive bloodwork with the hematologists back in August -- total listed cost was $6,000, of which Medicare and supplemental insurance paid $2,000, with the provider accepting that. One of the six labs cost a cool $4,300 by itself -- I guess that was the one that cleared me of a variety of nasty, cancerous stuff. Are some of the blood tests so sophisticated in administering and analyzing that they cost that kind of money? I have one more round coming just before Christmas. :eek2: I am hoping that my low thyroid was responsible for the declining hemoglobin that so worried my docs, because the thyroid seems back in the normal range now, with the help of meds.

I should write a medical consumers guide for old geezers -- based on personal experience! :eek2:

Details, Mr. Chimp, details -- we want details. Give us the full menu. Let's see your food journal. Come on, don't make Superbob file a Freedom of Information request with The Ref. :tongue2::tongue2:

Yes, inquiring tummies want to know...hehe-hehawhaw.
