Greetings ... I hope all are having a great week and having luck shedding a few pounds ... This is a crazy week and I am really not tracking my weight gain ( I know I have gained ) ... I may get on the scales later but probably not ... I just don’t really care about my dieting at this time ... embracing aging seems to give a bit more leeway in the waistline :biggrin2:...

I’m not abandoning the sprint ... just watching from the bleachers:cool2:
 
My goal for Founders' Day is to get back to my pre-cruise weight...Can I do 8 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks????
 
I'm sure The Chimp is under great stress right now. Both he and Laurie will bounce back with the weight goals, I'm sure.

Congrats to Duffster for maintaining.

As for Superbob, he went to a Mended Hearts breakfast this morning. Will weigh in tomorrow morning.
 
I can't wait to get over this cold I brought back with me. Murphy's law, get on a plane, catch a cold. I can't exercise if I can't even talk without coughing.

I need to get back on the elliptical. And back to dog training if this durned heat lets up: 107 today. It's supposed to drop to "only" 102 for Saturday's high.
 
Hang in there Cooker, even if from the bleachers. Laurie, I hope you feel better soon.

Congrats to the maintenance team of SB & Duffey. I know how that is a victory some weeks.

I almost want to apologize for posting a loss this week. I am down 2.4 lbs., and weigh 182.6 lbs. For the FDS I am down 1.2 lbs.

Hope everyone has a good week, food related or otherwise.

I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel today on this cold. If I can stir myself, Jet and I will do a few minutes of training in the morning before it gets too hot. They keep promising a tiny, 4-5 degree break in the weather, but every day that gets put off another day or two.
Now, back to digging out at the office!
 
I agree, the heat has been problematic. I did get to take short walk in my heavily shaded neighborhood a few mornings this week. Heat index is again projected to be sweltering today and the humidity already renders me breathless.

I weighed again this morning and am rather encouraged. I've added a low carb element to my diet and it seems to be helping. I am allowing myself one piece of sugar free Hershey's milk chocolate with caramel center. That little sweet treat help and I swear is as good as regular candy. You wouldn't know it's sugar free.
 
Took DW to PF Chang's: spring rolls, wonton soup, pork fried rice, brown rice, white rice, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef.... Stick a fork in me, I am done. Just roll me off to the fat farm. I'll join The Chimp being a couch potato (overstuffed variety) watching this sprint.

The heat is terrible but I can’t use that as my excuse for getting way off track ... I am truly disgusted with the way I have let me self go for the past several weeks ...

I’m going to try and get off my ass and walk, heat or no heat ... I guess ice cream, milk shakes and donuts have to go ...

The agony of defeat (literally)....:mad2:

Sat myself down and had a talk with me ... I’m off the bench ... I took a short walk this morning and it was obvious by my bodies reaction that it had been toooooo looooong!!!!!

Setting small goals to get back on track ... no need to sabotage myself with grandiose expectations ... TheChimp is no contender in the sprint but I’m sure that comes as no surprise .....:tongue2:

Sometimes we just need a good self talking to. I know I do at times.

Hey positive steps are positive steps. Take care and keep it up the good work, little steps or big it doesn't matter.
