To get this thread out of the gutter:
I spent 2 weekends running Jet in Agility, and lost a couple pounds. Then we spent 3 hours at the arboretum viewing the Chihuly glass exhibit, then we went to dinner with friends. Yep, ate like a pig, including apple crisp with ice cream.
Then for the I'm not a mother's day, we had friends over for wine, cheese & crackers. Ummmmmmm I was up 4 lbs from the previous Monday, all fat and salt.
This weekend, though, I'll lose all that: Sunday I prep for a colonoscopy. BLECH. At least I found a doctor who'll do it while I'm anticoagulated.

But then, my INR has been strangely through the roof the last 2 weeks after being steady for months (what is this, change of season?). So I'll probably wind up holding a dose or a dose and a half this weekend just to make sure I'm in range by Monday. I wouldn't want to run in there with an INR of 4.3 (this week) or 5.1 (last week) or 6.3 (the week before). I'm testing tomorrow, then again Saturday to determine if I need to hold any doses before Monday.

Laurie, I don't envy your colonoscopy date....but you know what to do. Spinach salads and Nori sushi will knock that INR down a bit.
Of course your "cleanse" will screw up all the good work that you have done. Best wishes ! :)

Hey wait a minute......"out of the gutter"?? :confused2:
The discussion of celery stalks, yogurt, and peanut butter, are all valid comments taken from friendly conversations
here and on FaceBook. If a reader chooses to have less than pure thoughts, that is their own issue. :smile2:
BTW....chunky peanut butter just doesn't do anything for celery stalks. Hee hee.

I've BEEN eating spinach lasagna, brussels sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower. And exercising even when I don't want to get out of bed.

I was at 4.9 last night, held my dose, and called my manager on how to get through this colonoscopy with my INR in range (hold, reduce, test, hold half if needed, hold for prep), and where to reset my dosage afterwards.

I understand I'm the only self-managing patient in the practice!

Thankfully you can test as often as you like.....If it was me, I would take 1/2 dose tonight and keep testing daily to make sure
that your INR is indeed dropping into a more comfortable zone for your Monday scope.
