Greetings and many thanks for the birthday wishes, again, you guys are the best ... I'm the same this week as last but maintaining this week has been a MAJOR victory ... I have been trying out some different high fiber snacks that will not cause TheRef to call foul ... the one that is on the top of my list as of now is the Fiber-One bar ... they taste pretty good and satisfy the urge for sugary snacks not to mention the obvious benefits:wink2: ...

Have a great week and good luck losing!!!

Sidebar: If you pray, remember those in Alabama ... 100 plus have lost their lives in the tornadoes ... very sad...

I'm up a pound from last week. Going off the diet over the Easter week-end did major damage to my Race for the Red, White and Blue, but I'm back on track now.

Last week: 155
This week: 156
Gain 1 pound

We've got friends in Cullman, AL, one of the areas hit in yesterday's severe weather outbreak. One is VR member, Noel. As Cooker wrote, please keep all in your prayers.

I didn't get a chance to weigh because I had early puppy duty. Plus, this has been an absolutely disastrous week for me in terms of menu. Must I really weigh? Don't superheroes get passes whenever they want them?

Good job maintaining Cooker. Mary, you'll drop that pesky pound in no time. SB, of course superheroes can delay weigh-ins; whose going to stop them from flying away from the scale? ; )

Here's our report for this week.

CINDY:

Last Week: 147.1
This Week: 145.5
Weekly Change: -1.6
Loss for RW&B: 4.3

WISE:

Last Week: 180.9
This Week: 179.7
Weekly Change: -1.2
Loss for RW&B: 3.3

We were lucky this week. We ate at Tumbleweed for a meeting, then at Longhorn's on Easter, then at our favorite Mexican restaurant on Monday. We better behave this week, but there are plenty of distractions, such as grandson's first birthday party tomorrow. I hear there will be fried chicken, corn pudding, baked beans, sweet potato casserole and cake, or course. I haven't had a big appetite lately anyway, so I'm going to tread litely at that gathering.

Monday we're going on a winery tour, then eating and playing cards with friends. I hope to survive the weight fairy's assault.

Good job, Wise; good job, Cindy!
I'll try to follow your lead this week and not let the weight fairy sidetrack me.

Good job Cindy and Wise ... Duffey that pound will melt away with no problem ... I am leveling out trying to keep the bubble in the middle and eat only when hungry .... Where's Yoda when you need him?:biggrin2:

I weighed at 4:15 a.m. this morning. I was not only awake for the wedding, but awake because the durned senile cat was screaming half the night. Sheesh!

"Officially" I weighed in at 138.2 this week, a loss of .5 lbs from last week, but before you congratulate me, please note I weighed 139.2 yesterday. PHHTTTTTHHHHHHTTTTT.

10 Reasons I will never lose any serious weight:

1. Pancakes after church.

2. Hush puppies.

3. Southern BBQ.

4. All-you-can-eat seafood buffets.

5. Strawberry shortcake.

6. Pasta dishes galore.

7. Honey-glazed ribs.

8. Burgers and 'dogs after kids' baseball games.

9. Dogs with the works at pro basebal games.

10. Huge ice cream cones on a steamy night.

The Man of Steel is now the Man of Mush.

:frown2:

I live in the land of milk and honey, and a Krispy Kreme doughnut is the least of my temptations.

I can relate, Bob!
Between doubling my lasix and weighing all my food for the last week, I'm down a couple pounds this morning - let's see if it stays off when I go back to my regular lasix dose this week.

Anyway, yesterday DH helped a friend install a new water heater and water shut off valve, so they want to take us to dinner at Babe's (CFS, Mashed 'taters, etc. salt and fat heaven) next Sunday. Yeah, ain't nothin on that menu I can safely eat, and from past experience I won't behave. But we really can't turn them down, now, can we?

Congrats on being down, Laurie. It's a good way to start the week.

Wow, way to go, Laurie! :smile2: You are a good example to the Throwdown. Superbob is the opposite. :p

Yep, SB is trying to climb back on the wagon. Walked Superdawg while son walked Wonder Dog puppy this morning, and will work out at the Y this afternoon. Evening eating is the problem -- so much family eating out... but SB must be strong and quit whining.

Really - its tough being a man of steel SB!! I agree you can kick those krispy kremes...I haveone by my house, but fortunately coming from work I don't pass it - not like the Sonic... I had one more Sonic Blast this week and you see there was this Italian creme cake at a friend's retirement party....... who could resist that. Maybe that is why I am getting nowhere fast.

I hope to do better this week. No - I WILL do better this week.

Starting for RWIB 215
Last Week 214.4
This week 214
Total loss for RW&B 1 measly lb.

Way to go Cindy and Wise. Happy belated birthday Cooker - somehow that slipped by me!

Talk at ya later losers!

Since I quit smoking and drinking I keep gaining ... maybe the cold beer and a cheroot diet should be considered :cool2::confused2:

If it makes you feel better I haven't kicked my nicotine gum habit yet either and now it isn't tax deductible under Flexible spending accounts. Silly stupid habit I need to quit!
Cheroot? is that a word or did you just make that up?
