Chimp weight: 207?

Superbob weight (STE -steel to flesh equivalent): unknown.

Will try to weigh Saturday morning before the Easter feasting. Too much chaos in household to do the weigh-in right now.

I hope I win my favorite snack!:wink2::tongue2:
Since you are fighting the nicotine gum habit . . . . so glad to read that you are:smile2: . . . . and since you reported a weight of 205 last week . . . . I will guess your current weight is 209. If you've gained, I hope it is much less than what I'm guessing, but you know me. I wanna win the favorite snack!:tongue2::angel:

205....that's my guess. Mary can have my snack though since I'm not supposed to be eating ice cream. I don't think ice cream is her favorite though. I guess hers is pie?

I'm going to think positively. Chimp weight 199.

We're having a small group of dog-oriented friends over for an "Easter Seder."
Ham, roast chicken, rolls, biscuits, potatos, Charoseth, cucumber salad, kale, and berries with whipped cream for dessert.
It's a good thing nobody keeps kosher.

Here's the recipe. Some recipes use wine instead of water. My good friend uses almonds, apples, and orange juice as her base:
Charoseth
(makes 4 cups)

1 pound chopped apples
1 pound dried raisins
8 ounces pitted dates
2 cups water (or as needed)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Place the apples, raisins, and dates in a bowl with enough water to cover. Let stand for 1 hour.

Add the sugar and whirl the mixture in a blender, a few spoonfuls at a time. Or divide the mixture in thirds and place in a food processor.

Transfer the chopped fruits to a heavy saucepan and let simmer over low
heat until the fruits are cooked and the liquid absorbed. It should take about 20 minutes.

Remove from the heat and place in a jar. When cool, sprinkle with chopped nuts.

YIELD: 16 Servings

What are you serving? Superbob is certifiably a senior. :thumbup:The Caped One might drop in to partake of the good food! :D

P.S. Laurie, your feast sounds delicious, too. You might have a guy in a cape dropping in there, as well! : )

Laurie, the charoseth sounds delicious. I'd better not try it.

Wise, it's hard to say what my favorite dessert is--at least at the present time. I can rule out ice cream, but it is a toss up between coconut cream pie:smile2: and a baked-from-scratch coconut cake. Truthfully, almost any pastry could occupy the top spot on my favorite list.:smile2::smile2::smile2:

I was going to wait until tomorrow to report my weight, but I just found out we have to be at the car dealership early tomorrow am, so I'd better go with this morning's poundage.

Last week: 154
This week: 155
Gain 1 pound

I don't know how I gained a pound, but apparently I did, so there you have it!:thumbd:

Come get your candy little girl:wink2:

I'll report my weight now and report Cindy's later (probably tomorrow). I forgot to post Cindy's weight last week.

WISE:

Last Week: 180
This Week: 180.9
Gain: .9
RW&B: -2.1

Could have been worse. We have a bad food weekend last weekend. I ate a blizzard and my tummy did not like it, but my taste buds did.

I just came back from my noon walk. After my 5:30 a.m. elliptical (I'm up to 12 minutes every morning). This evening it will be 30 minutes walk with Jet and light weight work.

Breakfast was fiber one cereal, light yogurt, and fruit. Lunch was a Weight-Watchers' barley/bean/vegetable casserole and an orange. Dinner is 4 oz of salmon, salad with oil & vinegar, a small/medium baked potato with FF sour cream & light margarine.

Last Week's weight: 137.1
This week's weight: 138.7
up 1.6
How, I surely don't know. Weight watchers won't let me eat any LESS food.

Reporting the other half of our household weight loss efforts.

CINDY:

Last Week: 149.8
This Week: 147.1
Loss: 2.1
RW&B: -2.1

Cindy's weight last week matched her beginning weight, so this week's loss was great. I actually lost 1.2 from yesterday's weight, but I'll go my original report thus leaving me, hopefully, an advantage for next week. Now, if I will just TAKE advantage of it.

I have had a pretty good day (Saturday) getting back on track with my eating but tomorrow is Easter and we will feast after church :biggrin2: ... wishing all a safe and happy Easter:smile2:

Engaged in battle with the Easter Bunny and lost ... his arsenal was over powering ... armed with potato salad, ham, macaroni and cheese, spinach casserole, corn pudding, rolls and of course pound cake ... late in the evening when I was recovering and planning my counter attack that crafty Bunny finished me off with a bag of jelly bean ....:eek2:

That wascly Easter bunny was ruthless to you Cooker!

I got by a little better. Had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Then had baked chicken with mashed potatoes and a salad at Longhorn's with Cindy and her mom. Oh, and a couple pieces of chocolate from a Whitman's sampler (don't buy one, they're very good). I'm somehow still weighing less than my last weigh in. I'll take it.

I think I escaped the worst of the Wascly Wabbit's tricks, but the Weight Fairy found me and whacked me a good one.:eek2:

I thought I watched my food/calorie consumption, but the scales have me up two and a half pounds. I guess I've got my work cut out for me this week.:frown2:

I need some exercise. Cooker, start walking and I'll meet you about halfway.:biggrin2::smile2:

Yep, them bunnies will lead you astray. Oh, the Easter Bunny? Yeah, that one, too. :p Superbob has eaten not one piece of Easter candy. However, he has eaten plenty of other stuff he shouldn't have eaten, much of it around 3 last night when he woke up and all the goodies were calling his name. :p

Superbob has his first appointment with a new cardiologist tomorrow. Won't go over the reasons SB is changing; have plowed that ground before. On first visit, understand they have you meet with their Physicians Assistant. That's fine with me. My experience with PAs has been good. I find they have more time to go over everything with you, maybe because they're not in such an all-fired big rush to get on a golf course. :D (We have LOTS of beautiful golf courses around here.) :smile2:
