Bob, I'm impressed that you have been absorbing my preachings. ;)
Tomorrow I go to the eye specialist and even though it isn't far I will be bringing along my little bag
of seeds and nuts, 1 or 2 oatmeal cookies, and a bottle of water.
There are fast food places near the opthalmologist office but that food totally disgusts me.
Brilliant surgeons gave me a second life and I ain't gonna screw it up by eating crap.
(post that on your fridge, ha ha) ;)

Now I'm hungry -- think I'll go make me a big ol' bologna sandwich! Or maybe a fried bologna with pickles and mayo. :p

Now I am confused:confused2: ... are you a goat or a squirrel ... or a squirrelly goat:tongue2:

Son of Superbob took the family to a 170-item seafood buffet last night. Superbob sampled a variety of delicacies. But he couldn't equal DW of Superbob who came back from the dessert table with strawberry shortcake, pecan pie, banana pudding, fudge brownies, and a big cookie. SB actually practiced a good deal of moderation, considering the temptations.

I've started the last few days with some strength training and a sensible breakfast then sometimes during the day I step on a banana peel and take a slide:rolleyes2:

I just came back from a weekend in Key Largo with DH and the extended family. 4 days of sitting on a beach, eating and drinking. Yes, you may be jealous.

Between the salt, the portions, and the key lime pie, I'm not telling what I weigh. In fact, I may not report until St. Paddy's Day! That gives me almost 10 days to get back to square 1.

fell like a stupid fool going out to walk Superdawg this morning, landed smack face-first. Happened in a nano-second but managed to get my hands up before landing on the concrete driveway. My right wrist feels like it broken but x-rays say it isn't so I will go with the ice, compression etc RICE. Will SD still get her walk tonight? Of course.

Effect on food intake -- unknown. Even the thought of a dozen Krispy Kremes doesn't appeal right now, I feel so stupid and old-age nursing-home candidate. The nurse told me arthritis could be part of it -- but hey it didn't hurt til I landed on it! I feel so stupid and out of it. I guess what I need is a good strong drink. :redface2:

Bob ... I busted my ass while walking across the parking lot about three weeks ago ... don't know why or what I may have tripped on except my two left feet ... the only injury was my ego ... several people witness my clumsy attempt to walk upright:biggrin2: ... hope your wrist heals quickly, your ego will:thumbup:

Thanks, Tom. The wrist is more swollen this morning, but hurts less, so it must be just a sprain and not a break, thank goodness. Sometimes you slip and you have a sense of going down and trying to check yourself, but this was Bang! you're on the driveway face down and you hurt. Only thing I can figure is that maybe I stupidly let my walking stick get between my feet (two left ones) and tripped myself....

I dug out a bag of holiday potato chips and started to eat them later on as comfort food; then thought this is ridiculous, why am I doing this and compounding damage to myself, and threw the bag away.

Oh Bob, OWIE! I'm so sorry. I hope the doctor gave you some pain meds.

DH tripped on the curb getting gasoline on Monday: fwap, splat! but no lasting injuries, then he tripped over the vacuum cleaner on Tuesday, and caught himself with the arm that currently has a raging bursitis. Double ouch.

You boys are going to have to be more careful, ok?

Thanks, Laurie. The hand is getting better by the day. Since it had to absorb all of my heavy weight on unyielding concrete and it hurt like heck, I was sure a little bone in the wrist was broken. But seems to have been just a sprain. Maybe I should take comfort in this evidence that the ol' bod is not quite as brittle as one would think at its advanced age. But I hope not to put it through any more such tests. :D
