Yikes, can it be: The Man of Steel is morphing into...a Chimp?!?Talk about shrinkage!:p

Okay, at the request of the esteemed Mr. Chimp, Superbob is starting this weekly thread. Have lead time built in to accommodate our Aussie friends -- BTW, where are they? Ton, come on now, don't be shy: We want you back here! (Actually starting late Wednesday evening because Superbob has a superbusy Thursday on tap.)

Okay, this is the first reporting for the Throwdown's start of its Great Race to the Fourth of July. We just finished the Race to Saint Paddy's Day, of course, and a tip 'o the cap to all for that. Record any weight losses for the past week, and then any each Friday between now and Independence Day, and we'll tote it up and set off a firecracker on the Fourth (and maybe have a fifth and eat hot dogs and apple pie)!

Superbob will weigh in officially Friday morning, but looking like there will be little to no loss this week, which has been filled with assorted stresses and strains and excuses to eat too much.

Superbob's weight lost during the St. Paddy's Day sprint: 11 pounds.

Superbob's net weight loss since advent of Cooker's Throwdown 3 years ago: 20 pounds.

Good luck to all!

11 pounds...thats great!
I just recently decreased my calorie intake by a few hundred and seen a 3 pound loss last week.
12 more and I'll be set for summer.

Cooker, I just read the most recent posts on last week's special St. Patrick's day thread to discover you are taking a break. Tom- (you know I don't think I ever heard anyone mention your real name before... :D ) you certainly deserve that. I'm amazed at how long you've kept it up and we do appreciate it and while you think you weren't up to inspiring us the way you felt you should - let me just say that you being there week in and week out was an inspiration. So thanks for that. Glad to know you will still be hanging around with us too. Handing the baton off to SB is an excellent idea and you betcha I'm still interested in continuing my weight loss journey with this crazy bunch. You are off to a good start SB! Thanks for taking over the reins!

I'll be back on Friday - not sure how this week is going - so far the scale isn't budging - at least not in the right direction.:(:(

Way to go, Dina -- you've gotten us off to a great start toward the Fourth of July!. Slow and steady wins the race. Superbob was up this morning at 630 fixing "Pop-Pop pancakes" for the grandkids -- am keeping them while their parents are away. Seems like Superbob is the super-pinchhitter this week...:) Not so sure how that weigh-in will look tomorrow morning, but will get on those scales for the team. :D Rhena, great to see you're with us on the great red, white, and blue race.

Congratulations, Dina, on the 3 pound loss! AWESOME!

I will give Ton a nudge, but I can't promise it will be gentle.

Last week's weight was 156
This week's weight is 157
Gain of a pound . . . proof that my avatar is appropriate.
I will get with the program.

Mary has competition

Mary has competition

I'm going back into the running for Yo Yo queen so Mary look out here I come. Tomorrow will be a week since I weighted and I think I'll have a loss tomorrow. Well maybe if that darn old yo yo doesn't show up.

Thanks SB and good job to all of you on your weight loss.

Hey, Marie, great to have you back! Good luck on the weigh-in.

Duffey, come on now: a 1 pound gain can easily be rounded down to no change. Since SB is now the sole controlling authority here ("Ref" included), he hereby proclaims it so: status quo, no gain. And don't give me no guff!:D

Good job Dina; 3 pounds is great!

Duffey, you'll lose that pound next week, I predict.

Welcome back Earline! Good to see you back in this crazy group of losers. ; )

Ouch!....now I know where that whopper of a bruise on my leg came from...better that, than admitting I walked backwards into a pointy corner!

I am sitting steady on 73kgs...which translates to about 160 old fashioned pounds...haven't been able to shift any weight without using that horrible thing called exercise and by also neglecting my virtual farm animals, both of which I am reluctant to do.

So thrilled to see this is still going and now has its own special place in VR world.

Good to be back!

Yaaaaaaaaay, Ton, welcome back; we've missed you! Way to go Mr. Chimp.

Superbob will put himself down as no change for this week. Hard to do a proper weigh-in surrounded by grandkids wanting pancakes for breakfast at an hour when SB is usually getting his beauty sleep. SB is having to muster all his superpowers to survive this week. Kids' parents are off on a Caribbean cruise. Grrrr! Jealous. Superbob will try to set a better TD example next week. He is surely burning off some calories running kids to soccer and baseball practices, etc.

Nice to see you here, Ton. I can relate to lack of exercise even though I continue to chase virtual farm animals around and around. Doesn't seem fair!
