I want to lose as much as possible before heading to Alaska!!!!

Great job, Cooker!
I think you lost 6.5 pounds even though your post says you lost 26.5 pounds.:eek2:
If you lost 26.5 pounds, a banned substance intervention is in your near future!:biggrin2:
Let us know about your blood sugar results.:smile2:

Good goin', Mr. Chimp. Sounds like you're getting back in the groove. But are these 26.5 pounds you report losing in the past week chimp pounds, or is there a human equivalent? ;)

As for throw-downing, Superbob is changing from sprints to marathoning, despite the protestations of as certain Goat Lady in Canada. First, he needs to completely reset by finding a reliable set of scales (and really don't want to lay out more money on a new set). Completely disgusted with the digital scales this morning -- each time I stepped on, it gave me a 3 or 4 pound different weight -- up or down. Something must be whacked-out with this danged contraption. Surely the well-equipped family Y has a set of doctor's-type scales somewhere. SB will search them out, weigh regularly without sneakers but with workout clothes, and record progress toward his end-of-2012 goal.

Last week's weight: 152
This week's weight: 151.5
Loss of .5

Belly dancing tonight and Hot Latin Moves class starts tomorrow night!:biggrin2:
And yes, for those of you wondering, I do wear the same earrings in my avatar as I do to class. It adds a unique jingle, jingle not found elsewhere.:wink2:

Okay, way to go Duffey, but we really, really, REALLY need pix to be posted here from "Hot Latin Moves." Will J-Lo attire be worn there? Must see! ;)

My blood test were good. I’m to home test several times a week for two months until they do another A1C. Doc said that losing weight and continuing to exercise would take care of it so I guess that’s the prescription. Maybe I can beat the genetic rap!!

YAY, Chimp, YAY Chimp!!! Good news -- congrats!

I can only speak to foot attire. :tongue2:We were told we could go barefoot (we're barefoot for belly dancing), wear tennis shoes or high heels. I'll go shoe-less! You want a picture of my feet?:wink2:

LOL ... be careful ... might be stirring up some fetish we are not aware of:biggrin2:

Thanks Bob ... Fasting was below 100 and 2 hours after I ate it was 122 ... She just wants to keep a record until we meet again ... no dietary restriction except to follow a balanced diet....

Good gravy! Superbob has rarely seen sugar numbers that low. His amateur opinion is that you are doing fine (which doesn't mean you shouldn't follow doctor's orders; you should.)

How is everyone doing so far this week? TheChimp is sticking to plan (walking and eating right) and is feeling better than I have felt in a long time. Spring is here with warm weather, thunderstorms and much needed rain!!! I love this time of year!!!

Have a great week!!!!

I am sticking to my low calorie, low fat, low sugar meals. Am getting a little used to it. But I am losing a little weight. So far about 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Am walking briskly in the evening and after my noon meal at work. About a mile in 15 to 20 minutes. I started oout at 191.2 2 weeks ago. This morning I weighed 186.4 ready for work. So I guess slowly is better than not at all:cool::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: will keep you all posted.

I think you are doing great ... I have goofed up before by trying to lose to much to fast and now I go with slow and steady wins the race!!

Thanks Bina ... I need all the support I can get!!!

I had a note from Cooker this morning that he couldn't access VR when he tried earlier. He was off to work but said he'd start the new week's thread when he got in tonight if it wasn't too late.
Maybe he thought he'd give everyone a day's reprieve?:wink2:
