Greetings!! As we head into the home stretch of our RTSPD it looks like it will be a close race!! As usual I have the two off, three on, four off thing going on ... it is what it is but TheChimp will not give up!!! My DW has been an inspiration on the low carb clan, how she does it I do not know ... I guess the fact that she’s not a sugar addict helps ... she has lost over twenty pounds:thumbup: and I’m still at about about seven off since starting the low carb deal ... it’s amazing what not eating a box of Vanilla Wafers at one sitting will do....:redface2:

One thing about starting this thread each week it does give me a new resolve to do better!! As a Baptist I don’t really do the Lent thing but I did decide to give up sugar for Lent ... lasted about four hours, I guess that’s why I’m Baptist... :biggrin2:

May the force be with you ...........................

2012 Race To St Paddy’s Day Start Weight: 226.5
Today’s Weight : 220.5 (2-29-12)
Race Stats: -6.0

Good job on the loss Cooker! Big kudos to Mrs. Cooker for her loss as well!

I have never been Baptist officially, but I am during Lent. Go figure...hehe

A four-hour sugar fast -- I love it! :wink2: You doing good, Mr. Chimp.

Superbob had a good week. He thinks if he had a good, easy-to-read set of scales, he would be doing even better, because according to the doctor's "official" scales, SB has lost nearly 7 pounds from last October to this week. (And that's minus all the holiday gain.) I think before the next race starts, SB is going to invest in a good set of scales and readjust.

Won't try to claim all that progress for the RTSPD (being the magnanimous superhero that I am:biggrin2:), but this is what my old-fashioned scales without the breakdown to tenths looks like:

Starting weight for RTSPD: 260 pounds

Today's weight: 256 pounds

Net loss for RTSPD: 4 pounds

Cheerio! SB is letting Superdawg take charge of the walks today and also hitting the exercise room. And he is following the doc's dietary recommendations -- well, kinda, sorta. He said no coffee, and I can't live without coffee. He said no peanuts or peanut butter -- I don't think so. But SB will practice moderation in all -- uh, most -- things.

So far, so good, throwdowners! Congrats Superbob and Cooker!

I'm down a half pound, but I'm a happy camper. We went out for dinner last night, but knowing I was going to weigh this morning, I was careful with what I ordered.

Race starting weight: 159
Today's weight: 153.5
Loss for the race: 5.5 lbs

Okay, way to go Duffey. But the Yo-Yo Queen should beware: Superbob has you on his radar as he prepares to sprint to the finish line.

Oh where, oh where have the Throwdowners gone?
Oh where, oh where have they gone?

OK you know who you are and where you are!!! Time to suit up and show up, or come nekkid:biggrin2:

Not so fast superhero and the duffster formerly known as the ref, I'm reporting in today!!!!!

WISE:

Starting weight: 187.3
Last week: 186.2
This week: 183.1
Weekly change: 3.1
Loss for RTSPD: 4.2

Read it and weep. Of course, I will probably not have much of a loss next week after such a good week.

CINDY:

Starting weight: 153
Last week: 151.2
This week: 150
Weekly change: -1.2
Loss for RTSPD: 3

Yeah!

Also, I agree with Cooker, where are our friends. Weigh in or check in, exchange in the seriously funny banter and let us know you're okay. Rhena, it doesn't matter if you've lost, maintained or otherwise, been on a cruise, or crazy with work, we miss seeing your witty posts.

Really don't know how I lost 3lbs. I looked at myself in the mirror and I don't look slimmer.

Anyways, I will take the lost. Have a nice weekend all !

Good job Cooker, Superbob, Duffey and Wise. Keep up the good work losers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week: 163
This week: 160

Wow, way to go, Nelson! And the Kentucky Flash and Cindy. And others (The Chimpster and the Duffster and...) who have reported or hopefully will be soon. Looks like we've got a real race going for that green beer or whatever the Saint Paddy's prize might be.:thumb up:

If PF Changs doesn't do him in this weekend, Superbob is in the thick of this race.:smile2:

Although I am not officially a Throwdowner, I have been trying. Therefore I am going to forward my 3bls loss to the Ref a.k.a Duffey.
BTW - this official! Duffey said I could :biggrin2:

Good job, Wise.
Good job, Cindy.
Good job, Nelson.

BUT . . .

Freddie just transferred her 3 pound loss over to me, so I remain ahead with a loss of 8.5 pounds!:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:
(Love you Freddie!):smile2:

Congrats everyone! Way to go!

I wish that Skyler could be added here for the reverse... He should take all the weight you’ve lost and put it on him…. Even after gaining 7 pounds (and no height) post-surgery (3 months), you can still see all his ribs! I would be thrilled if he would gain 10 (more) healthy pounds!

From my friends who are in the same position, it seems to me that gaining weight and maintaining it is just as hard for those high metabolism people as it is for the rest of us to lose!

Haven't been on a scale in several days, and have a very busy weekend planned, so no promises.
WW WI is Monday.

I can't seem to walk past the office chocolate dishes, though. Ghirardelli dark. ymmmo.

I made some brownies with Ghirardelli dark for a gathering last night. Decadent. Also had dried bing cherries in them. Won't be eating any more of those today! Delicious!!!!!

Good Sunday morning to ya!, top of the day to ya! ... Check out the stats on this week’s post number one ...TheChimp is at -5.5 lb for the RTSPD ... I’m feeling very Irish and very inspired ... see ya at the finish line little Miss Duffey....:biggrin2:

Now wait a minute, Chimpy. Everyone knows the Yo-Yo Queen is no threat. She'll fold like an overused accordion before Saint Paddy's Day. :tongue2: The competitor you have to worry about wears a cape and leaps tall buildings in a single bound!

You are on “Oh Caped One” ... Stand clear as I skate to victory on Kryptonite powered roller blades:cool2:

Oh, the accordion crack is priceless as well as fitting:biggrin2:

Good morning Throwdowners!!! My area of South Carolina is wet this morning and that’s OK by me, we need the rain ... I took my sweetie on a short road trip Sunday down to Santee State Park to check out the vacation cabins on the lake ... we had a great time and enjoyed the BBQ+ buffet at Lone Star BBQ .... if you are ever near Santee SC you have to give it a try ... we have decided that BBQ is a good way to go low carb if he sauce is right ....

Decided that my one hour walk was cutting into my schedule too much so I have dropped it to 1/2 hour but almost doubled the pace ... no doubt a much better cardio work out ...

Have a great day and eat all you want ... I need all the advantage I can get:biggrin2::tongue2:
