BTW thanks for all the well wishes on last week's thread for my Feb surgery. Hadn't thought about that being heart month! Also, Laurie I want to pass on my condolences on losing Tank. Always hard to lose a beloved pet.

Awwww Rhena.. I sure hear you since I'm following in your footsteps about holiday temptations. I love the parties, the martinis, the fluffy food, the cheer, the Christmas lights and can't seem to restrain myself for all the joy. I think that I could write a book on "The Joy of Eating..:biggrin2:".

So another sabbatical is in full swing here too - until after the New Year..:wink2:

Miss Duffey, I agree with your statement about only taking a bit of the big apple, but in the Chimp's defense, that is something you can do at home. Having never been to THE big apple, I can only imagine what sins the chimp's mouth committed. ; )

Janie, that is a great photo of you and Mike. Also, I can definitely relate to "The Joy of Eating." You write it and I will read it. OR, maybe it will meant to be eaten somehow?

I'm adding an update regarding my mom. Her doctors have settled on that even though the biopsy was negative, they believe that she has lung cancer. They have referred her to Hospice, which will probably come tomorrow. We covet any and all prayers that her pain and nausea will be well managed and that her frustrations, which are many, will melt away to peace. Thanks for letting me share this difficult thing with my friends.

Wise - I'm so sorry about the news on you Mom. Very tough time of year to be dealing with this. You, your Mom and all your family are in my prayers. Know that we are here for you whenever you need us.

Cooker - I am so jealous that you went to the Big Apple! Isn't it gorgeous this time of year - freezing - but gorgeous still!
