Cooker's Throwdown Friday III -- 1-28-11

I have to brag on my baby dog (she's nearly 6, but she still acts like a baby)!
Jet earned not 2 but 3 qualifying ribbons out of 4 runs this weekend. Yes, all first places given the level at which she's competing right now (once we get to master's classes we'll never see another placement ribbon).

Her 4th run of the weekend she broke her start line stay, and I had to "down" her and take her out of the ring in shame....She just can't be allowed to lose control and be rewarded with a run. So we got a good training lesson in, INSTEAD of our 4th run, which is a victory for MOM.

And YES, starvation and nerves leads to another weight loss for my Monday WW weigh in.

Sounds like a great weekend for both you and Jet. It's wonderful that you've gotten so fully back into the competitions after your recent surgery!

Got a new scale and it's sweet.

Today's is 258.4

At this point the scale is so accurate that my weight varies depending on the time of day, what i've had to eat, if I've used the bathroom, etc. But I think the numbers I mentioned are the most realistic taken during a normal day with normal clothes on, etc.

Hi gang! Sorry I've been MIA. I've been crazy busy, but maybe a bit of 'head in the sand' syndrome too! I saw your post on the pre-surgery forum on my behalf SB and all of y'all's responses. Thank you! I don't think you can even know how much that meant to me tonight as I count down the hrs. I am as ready as I will ever be and can't wait for it to be behind me. I couldn't have a better cheerleading squad backing me up than y'all - my fellow throwdowners. My sister will post for me as soon as she can.

It just occurs to me that I didn't post the last official spreadsheet before my surgery. We didn't get skunked girls, but damn near. 10.1 lbs to .8. I think they brought in Duff-Man as a ringer. I want to know which one of you guys bought him a new scale.:biggrin2:

I'll be back! I may not be weighing in till I lose some of that fluid as Laurie suggests, but I'll be back. Leave it to me to pick the coldest day in 20 years to have my surgery! Oh well, I'll be out of it so what do I care!? Later gators!

sorry gang, I forgot to post I am up 1 lb this week 215.2. That is still down 3 lbs for the race. I will try harder this week. I will be thinking about you Rhena so see you on the other side of the mountain. Best wishes...
