With another week under our belts (so to speak:tongue2:) I think we are off to a good start! ... there has been and is a lot going on with some of our ThrowDown members and it does my heart good to see our community within a community rally with prayer and support...

I have had a good week (weight loss wise) and have been allowing myself a snack in the evening but trying to control the portions and doing pretty well ... I still can't eat just one cookie but at least I am able to hold it to four instead of a dozen and I believe I have stayed within my WW point range ... I'm down 2.75 pounds this week:thumbup: ... I expect my rate of loss to drop drastically, it usually does after I lose the first ten pound ... the trick now is staying positive and not getting discouraged ... as our dear Bonnie would say, "a pound a week is a good goal" ....

Have a great week!!!!

St Patty’s Day Race Starting weight : 215

Last week : 207.75

This week: 205

Total St Patty’s Day Race Loss: 10

2.75 pounds in a week is GREAT!

I'd be thrilled with a pound a week, but I'm having to settle for breaking even or losing a few tenths!

Monday WW weigh in, after running and starving all weekend, was 132.9. I was pretty happy with that. But this morning I'm back up to 134.0. Pretty much even with last Friday, down a few tenths from last Thursday. I don't remember which weight I gave you last week.

I swear, the only treats I've had have been a 2 inch by 2 inch piece of someone's birthday cake and 2 oreo cookies! I have missed some exercise this week because of scheduling: Monday we went to a funeral, Tuesday we had a seminar, Wednesday was an office birthday celebration, so I couldn't cut out and get my mile walk in. I have to try harder with that, but sometimes it just doesn't fit in.

Have you noticed I lose the same 2-3 pounds over and over and over again?? The last 3 just won't budge.

This weekend is another run and starve weekend. Even after umpteen years of showing dogs and horses, I still get a nervous stomach and can't eat much on show weekends. Goal for this weekend is 2 green qualifying ribbons. With only 4 classes, that's a tall order, but that's my goal, and do-able if I pay more attention to our start line.

Laurie, when you're so close to goal weight, it's going to be hard to lose weight. I think you're doing great!:smile2:

Chimp, you're doing good too. I hope you are able to maintain your weight loss . . . . not necessarily lose anymore . . . . until the Ides of March.:wink2:

I'm weighing in tomorrow. The scales have me weighing exactly what I did last week, so I'll try to get a pound off before Rhena calculates our "official" weight.

Just to let everyone know, the binge has come and gone ... I always over snack the day of the morning I weigh in:redface2: ... don't worry men I'm back in the saddle:thumbup:

Bina you and the Chimp's banter always cracks me up! Keep going, they say laughter is the best medicine. Good job Cooker and SB for weight lost! Laurie you have it the hardest being so close to your goal. Good luck this weekend!

Ladies - I'm afraid I'm going to have bad news this week. Parents are here - all kinds of food in the house I usually don''t have around, emotional eating - you name it. I'm full of excuses!:frown2:

I'll weigh tomorrow though as I've been pretty good today, so maybe a little of what I gained will be erased, but not all of it.....

Trying to dot all my i's and cross all my t's at work and hand over my stuff to others for awhile. I never realized how much I do that no one else does. It has been a real pain though trying to get it all written down and organized. I'm pooped.

Just think in a few months - I'll be a new woman! Maybe blonde with a svelte silhouette. :biggrin2::biggrin2: I can dream can't I? At least I'll have the energy to really get back into my workouts and I'm going to do cardio rehab too - so that'll probably whip me back into shape. I don't know why once they've got me open they can't just go in there and suck up some of the fat while they are at it! That would make this surgery so much more worth it! :biggrin2:

I hope I've made all the right decisions - no turning back now!

Manyana throwdowners! Keep up the good work!

Oh BTW - anyone interested in keeping the spreadsheet going after this week? If not, y'all just keep on posting your losses and someone can just get out the old calculator to tally up who is the victor for the week I can catch the spreadsheet up while I'm recuperating. Give me something to do. My sister (nurse) is already planning on torturing me it sounds like. She says she is going to make me do things I won't want to do - wonder what that means! ?

The girlies aren't getting any help from me this week either. I stayed the same as last. I'll volunteer to tally weights until you get back, Rhena, and can update the spreadsheet.
Who is going to be the contact person that lets us know everything went well after surgery? Inquiring minds need to know you are on the road to recovery long before you're able to post for yourself.

Starting weight : 165
Today weight : 163

I am catching up, Lady Gaga. Captain Bob/Chimp you are doing GREAT.. so are you Laurie. Good luck with surgery, Rhena. Keep us posted.

Best of luck with the surgery, Rhena. The office really won't fall to pieces without out you, but they'll sure be glad to have you back!
You really will feel so much better afterwards. I can't believe how well I feel now. And I thought I was mostly asymptomatic except for agility issues .... Wrong.

I will make sure and have my sister post as soon as she can after I get out of surgery. I hope I don't have a snafu with Insurance. I called just on a whim today and they said no one had notified them of the surgery! :eek2: I called my surgeon's office and the lady who does that had left for the day, but the lady who answered said she is usually right on top of that - so who knows. I will be real p.o.'d if it gets postponed, but can't sort it out till Monday now. Thanks for volunteering to keep the tally and I'll be happy to catch it up when I get back home and feel I can.

That is very encouraging Laurie. I can't wait to find out how I'm really supposed to feel when my heart is working the way it should!

Guess what!? I can actually report a 1 lb loss! I'm amazed! Last week 201.8, this week 200.8. It is a miracle!

Later gators!

I have to brag on my baby dog (she's nearly 6, but she still acts like a baby)!
Jet earned not 2 but 3 qualifying ribbons out of 4 runs this weekend. Yes, all first places given the level at which she's competing right now (once we get to master's classes we'll never see another placement ribbon).

Her 4th run of the weekend she broke her start line stay, and I had to "down" her and take her out of the ring in shame....She just can't be allowed to lose control and be rewarded with a run. So we got a good training lesson in, INSTEAD of our 4th run, which is a victory for MOM.

And YES, starvation and nerves leads to another weight loss for my Monday WW weigh in.
