Greetings! ... I was glad to see the activity on last week’s ThrowDown and hope we can keep it rolling:) ... I have dropped two pounds this week and have been faithful to my program, it’s hard at times but pays off ... I have not always lived the “healthiest” lifestyle but since AVR I have really tried to turn it around ... I have always had to watch my weight and for the most part have watched it go up:rolleyes: ... As I age and since I have had to become more health conscious my weight has been the number one battle ... I have quit smoking and drinking but you have to eat to live and God knows I love food, so this is an area that has always been and probably always will be the “thorn in my side” ... The ThrowDown has really helped me stay accountable, I thank all who have stayed the course ... I have about fifteen pounds to go and hope to reach my goal before next summer ... If I can just get rid of this damn yoyo:rolleyes: that keeps hanging around I should be able to make it ... Hope everyone has had a great week and success in whatever you are trying to do ... peace out:cool:

Starting weight..........233
Last Weigh in ............192
This week.....................190
Total Loss ....................43

You have done great, Cooker. As for love of food, you are not alone! we are all on the same boat and I commend you for your efforts and for the weight loss you achieved so far! I love good food and it is hard to stick to the new life style and limited quantities of good chocolates!! I do well the whole week, and once I see chocolates, I cannot help myself all the time.

Yet, I remain grateful to WW since at least my scale, though does not go down, yet it does not go up anymore as easily as before.

Wt. since started with WW (around 7 weeks ago): 176 lbs (keep it between us only)
wt. today: 170 lbs.
Total Loss: 6 lbs.

My goal by next summer: I am hoping to go down to 145 lbs. Logically, a loss of 2 lbs a month should be real achievable. From now on, I will mention my starting wt, the loss, and the goal to keep me focussed better.

Thanks for all your encouragements and help.:)

Good job Cooker and Eva! Cindy and I will weigh tomorrow. We have been good throwdowners this week and expect to show a loss tomorrow. Did you hear that weight scale?

I ate more salads this week & tried to watch my portions, but we'll see what happens. I have had a few extra snacks. Good luck to everyone, and I will weigh in tomorrow as usual.

I'll be weighing in tomorrow. But there has been a loss - unfortunately due to some stress going on. But a loss is a loss!

So many of you have done so well, even taking on this throw down is an feat on its own.

I wish you all continue good luck in your quest of losing more, watch out for Norma cooking. :)

Mystery solved!
Cooker's not dealing with yoyo syndrome; Chimpman's engaged in pound swapping!:eek::eek:
That's right, Throwdowners, the Chimp swapped his two pound loss for my week's gain of two pounds.:mad:
I warn you now, Chimp, I've lodged an official protest with the powers that be . . . . the Ref!:p:p:p

I'm down 2.1 this week. That was with a very good effort. I expect that much this week too. That's a demand in fact.

Cindy hasn't weighed in three or four weeks. Although, due to this past week's effort, she most certainly lost weight, since her last weigh-in she has to report a 1.1 pound gain.

Mary, I'm sure next week will swing in your favor. ;)

Thanks for the encouragement Freddie.

5.2 to go to goal, and holding --- holding on to everything I can. :D (Mainly scallop po' boys and an occasional Krispy Kreme.) :)

In honor of Jerry Lee Lewis:

He's out there somewhere every night
The music's playin' loud
He's doing all-a those fifty's steps
He's in a 1980 crowd

Dim lights hide the milage line
Clairol hides the gray
And he won't mention anything
To give his old age away

Oh Lord, he's thirty-nine an he's holdin'
He's holdin' everything that he can
From seventeen to twenty-five
He'll prove he's still a man

Hey boy, you're holding to a candle
And it's a-burning at both ends
Thirty-nine and holding
A-holdin' everything that I can

Hey, Superbob, good job! Also, I got the Jerry Lee Lewis reference before I read it! I have an affinity for old 70's music. If only I could remember where stuff is in the house as well!

Down 2 pounds. But it's stress related - so I won't be surprised if it comes back. But I'll try.

Everyone is doing well. SB - when you reach goal, you aren't leaving us are you??? :(

I'm down .5 from last week, at 130.1, but that's about 1 lb over goal. Give a pound, take a pound. Maintenance is a boring Bee-otch, and I'm already planning my birthday lunch and dinner for later in the month....

Wow!!! ... All the reports, all the losses!!! ... Everyone is staying on track and heading toword their goals ... Hey Ref, careful or you get the next two too:p

I'm afraid my Cinnabon Bread french toast I made for dinner may have blown it for me.

One pound up. :( Probably all that fried chicken. :p We had guests 4 days this week. Three of those days said guests chose fried chicken joints for dinner. Nothing on the menu that's not fried. Except the green beans and mashed potatoes, which are cooked with lots of butter!
