Greetings Losers!! ... I hope that all have had a good week and lost a bit of unwanted weight ... I’m down 3 pounds this week but still need to get back on track with my exercise program ... So-so report on blood work with my primary but great report from cardiologist ... I’ll take it ...

How have you done this week? ... I think the lack of activity on the thread lately is due to summer coming on, lack of new members and the fact that some of our initial members are not active on the thread ... I don’t think this thing has run it’s course but we could be heading the way ... but I think it’s just natural waxing and waning ...

2013 Starting Weight: 231
Last Weigh In : 226.00
Todays Weight: 223.00
YTD: -8

I guess I'll make a formal weight report this week.
January starting weight 164.6
Current weight 160.6
Year to date loss 4.0

I seem to be holding at about the 160 point, which isn't bad considering that I only wanted to get into the 150's. When you don't have to lose much, every pound is a battle unto itself.

Over-all, I'm feeling better now than I have for years. Most of my bloating (from meds) is gone, and I can probably exercise more than I have been. With summer coming sometime (39 deg. F this AM), I plan to push it hard this summer just to see where I can take it. We have a family wedding next summer planned to be on a cruise, so I have to get into shape for the trip (yeah, right. . . ).

Hope all of you are doing well this week. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Good reports, Steve and Mr. Chimp!

Superbob's starting weight: 265

Superbob's weight last week: 257.1

Superbob's weight this morn: 255.7

Total loss for the year to date: 9.3 pounds.

More later, Superbob is off to PT, and then straight to a six-weeks' post-op appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. He is a hard man to impress, but the PTs say he should be "pleased" with what I have accomplished. We'll see, I'll be walking in without a cane. Will hold the backflips for my gig on Dancing With the Stars.:biggrin2:

Great job guys! Very good week for you three.

I consider my week a success even though I basically maintained. I had too many opportunities to exercise restraint, but I came through without a gain for the week!

Starting Weight: 194.5
Last Week: 177.6
This Week: 177.5
Loss YTD: 17

My goal this week is to get back to my lowest weight of a couple weeks ago. 1.4 should be doable!

Cindy will weigh in the morning!

Have a great day!

All of you throwdown-curious people, jump in and have fun with us!

I wish I could join Cooker, Steve, Bob and Wise in the loser's column, but I'll have to stand in the no-gain corner this week.:wink2:

Starting weight: 151.5
Last week: 146.5
This week: 146.5
YTD: -5 pounds

I'm keeping you company! You notice I only lost .1 pounds. We'll both be down next week!

Long ago, when we lived in Richmond, my sister-in-law would bake me a strawberry cake on my birthday. Incredibly delicious! Oh well, maybe some strawberry shortcake with low-sugar topping would satisfy this craving.

This week I made a strawberry pie with sugar free glaze and a nut crust, topped with Ready Whip. It was good and even almost healthy.

Everyone is doing great!!! ... I'm taking the weekend off and eating whatever I want ... Friday, calzone, Saturday, milk shakes and a cook out today and then back on track ... Life is for living:thumbup:

A weekend off sounds good Cooker. You need that now and then.

I also wanted to share some good news. With my weight loss and eating healthily I reduced my cholesterol reading by 37 points. It's still at 230, but I am confident that I can lower it some more. My triglycerides are down also, but don't remember the difference. Doc thought my blood pressure was trending up earlier this year, but is now okay. So, through my efforts and your encouragement I have improved my health and avoided cholesterol and blood pressure medications.

Great news, Wise! It's encouraging to read that your efforts have resulted in substantial health benefits. Keep up the good work.:smile2:

Amen to what Duffey said about your health progress, Wise!

Ah yes, Cooker, you reminded me about the great Memorial Day cookout --- for which we just stocked up at the grocery store. I'm planning on having a grilled Hebrew National hot dog or three, baked beans, salad, and one slice of DW's home-baked cherry pie. I think it is a day we should enjoy -- and by all means pay respect to the reason we have this occasion, the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of our country -- and we should not fret over a pound or two. Tuesday we can start working it off -- me, for sure, because I have PT that day, which will be stepped up to teaching me how to be my own PT for the next 6 months with tougher exercises.

I celebrated yesterday with fried fish from Culvers. Delicioso! Followed that with ice cream at Graeters. Muy rico! So, if I'm up a little this week, you'll know why, lol. Tummy is complaining a little, but it was goooood anyway.

Now back to my regularly scheduled eating.

DH's grilling turkey burgers for dinner, and for dessert, we've got fresh strawberry shortcake. If I were an optimist rather than a realist, I would take today's scale reading at face value. According to the scales, I had lost 6 pounds overnight. Doubting that had happened, I stepped back on them again, and was only down 4.5 pounds. My last try for the day showed a 3 pound loss. There's no telling what tomorrow's weigh-in will bring; I only hope that it's not a gain!
Happy Memorial Day to all.

Duffey, that sounds like a great Memorial Day present! To be down at all today is great, but by at least three pounds is great!
