Greetings:thumbup: I hope everyone is doing well and have had a good week. Lots going on in each of our lives. The older I get it seems the busier I get or may be daily activities are just more trying:rolleyes2: I have not weighed this week and just can't seem to climb on the scales so will leave my weight status unchanged. I'm still dealing with a couple of health issues (minor I hope) and the scales have not been a priority:tongue2:
I have had Charlie and family in my prayers and will continue to do so. It's so hard to have little ones in pain ... (((((( BIG HUGS))))) for Charlie:smile2:
2014 Starting weight: 231
This week: 225.5
"The older I get, the busier I get" -- I can sure identify with that, Cap't Cooker! (Or maybe the older get, the slower I get and so it takes longer for me to complete tasks.
) Whatever the case, I do wonder often where the time has gone.
Hope your health issues prove to be minor and are soon resolved, Cooker.
I certainly continue to pray for young Charlie and Duffey and family. It is tough when your little ones are hurting.
A far less serious instance: I took granddaughter Hannah to soccer practice yesterday, and near the end of a scrimmage she took a hard-kicked ball right in the side of the face. WHAM-WHAM -- no time to get out of the way. The coach stopped practice, All the girls got down on their knees while the coach tended to Hannah. After a few minutes, she asked Hannah if she wanted to sit out the rest of practice -- no she wanted to play, and wound up kicking the winning goal! One tough little gal. After practice, she had a knot on side of her head, but had no dizziness or headache. So her dad went with ice and aspirin (or Tylenol) and she seemed to be okay going to school today. But it was scary. Concussions are a problem in girls' soccer, I read -- and I would think, boys too. But she didn't show symptoms of a concussion. I'm sure she'll be taken right to a doctor if she does. She has a few days to mend before a big tournament this weekend.
Anyway, weight -- I will try to muster the courage to get on scales tomorrow. I've been trying to get things back under control but it's been tough -- partly because I've been taking grandkids to soccer and baseball games practically every day around dinner time, and so eating on the run. Did do Subway yesterday -- that guarantees a weight loss, doesn't it?
Cheers and best to all TDers.
