Greetings:thumbup: I hope everyone is doing well and have had a good week. Lots going on in each of our lives. The older I get it seems the busier I get or may be daily activities are just more trying:rolleyes2: I have not weighed this week and just can't seem to climb on the scales so will leave my weight status unchanged. I'm still dealing with a couple of health issues (minor I hope) and the scales have not been a priority:tongue2:

I have had Charlie and family in my prayers and will continue to do so. It's so hard to have little ones in pain ... (((((( BIG HUGS))))) for Charlie:smile2:

2014 Starting weight: 231
This week: 225.5

"The older I get, the busier I get" -- I can sure identify with that, Cap't Cooker! (Or maybe the older get, the slower I get and so it takes longer for me to complete tasks. :p) Whatever the case, I do wonder often where the time has gone.

Hope your health issues prove to be minor and are soon resolved, Cooker.

I certainly continue to pray for young Charlie and Duffey and family. It is tough when your little ones are hurting.

A far less serious instance: I took granddaughter Hannah to soccer practice yesterday, and near the end of a scrimmage she took a hard-kicked ball right in the side of the face. WHAM-WHAM -- no time to get out of the way. The coach stopped practice, All the girls got down on their knees while the coach tended to Hannah. After a few minutes, she asked Hannah if she wanted to sit out the rest of practice -- no she wanted to play, and wound up kicking the winning goal! One tough little gal. After practice, she had a knot on side of her head, but had no dizziness or headache. So her dad went with ice and aspirin (or Tylenol) and she seemed to be okay going to school today. But it was scary. Concussions are a problem in girls' soccer, I read -- and I would think, boys too. But she didn't show symptoms of a concussion. I'm sure she'll be taken right to a doctor if she does. She has a few days to mend before a big tournament this weekend.

Anyway, weight -- I will try to muster the courage to get on scales tomorrow. I've been trying to get things back under control but it's been tough -- partly because I've been taking grandkids to soccer and baseball games practically every day around dinner time, and so eating on the run. Did do Subway yesterday -- that guarantees a weight loss, doesn't it?

Cheers and best to all TDers.

Also praying for Charlie - I had my twins at 27 weeks so surgeries, therapies etc. - it is very hard. Just praying for wisdom, compassion and skill for the medical teams, the best outcomes possible for Charlie, and strength for all his family.

Hello throwdowners . I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am thinking about you Duffey in regard to your grandson Charlie.

I have the granddaughters tonight, as my son in law is Oot until Tuesday. My daughter was diagnosed with melanoma, at 34 years old, 11 weeks ago. This is her second bout with it, even though the cancers were not related. Thank God it hadn't spread, but the surgery, skin graft, etc. has been tough. She still can't move around a lot, and she may need another a skin graft.

Anyway, I am trying to Carpe Diem. Life is so short and precious.

Thank you all for offering me a place to feel like I can confide in you.

Hey, hey, hey, today's the birthday of our own esteemed and incomparable Chimp! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Cooker --- enjoy your big day with lots of cake and ice cream (it has no calories on birthdays)…. :biggrin2:

mbeard, hoping this is the last bout of surgery for you daughter.
Happy birthday, Tom! I can't wait to hear the details of your Sunday, birthday dinner.
Thanks dornole, and everyone who has expressed good wishes regarding Charlie's recovery. I am confident he has done as well as he has because of the prayers our family has received.:smile2:

Happy Birthday Cooker! I hope you enjoyed your birthday breakfast this morning!

Cindy is still losing. I am struggling to screw my head back on straight. Hopefully I'll have more positives to report soon.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! We spent the weekend in the mountains!! Had some great fried chicken and the the worlds best blueberry pancakes for my birthday breakfast ... Not sure what's for dinner as we are both still full and a bit tired ... might just pick up a pizza :smile2:

Happy Birthday to you Sir Cooker. Glad to hear you had a great day.
