Good morning, Throwdowners, and welcome to the start of another Throwdown week!
As we struggle through the final weeks of winter, weather is a challenge for many of us. Looking on the bright side, the frigid temps should put a dent on the insect population and the moisture should nurture some gorgeous Spring flowers. And they're playing baseball in Florida and Arizona right now, so Spring definitely will be here before long! :smile2:
More concerning is that several Thowdowners have been facing health challenges for themselves or family members recently. I am not going to try to list them here right now -- first, because I'm not at liberty to mention some of them and second because I might get the details wrong if I tried. Suffice it to say, whenever anyone wants to talk about these kinds of concerns here, it's perfectly fine to do so. You are among friends here.
Superbob learned a lesson yesterday to never have a dizzy spell in front of the Missus. I had a brief one at the breakfast table yesterday and it about scared her crazy. It lasted only seconds and I have had these over the years for various reasons. I think in this case I had failed to eat enough protein and had taken my type 2 meds together resulting in a lower blood sugar reading than I usually see. I used to have them b/c of inner-ear imbalances. Could have been low bp. I took all my vitals and they were good. Had to keep reassuring DW all day….:eek2:
Okay, next week marks the end of the Race to Saint Paddy's Day, if anyone is "running" it. Superbob is now down 5 pounds in the "race," which means he is already counting himself the winner and is in search of a cranberry-orange scone as his victor's edible trophy. If someone surpasses him, they can celebrate as they choose but they can't have the scone. :tongue2: Cranberry-orange scones were readily available when we lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains but they are scarce here on the Redneck Riviera, so maybe the Man of Steel will burn additional calories hunting for one. :tongue2:
Okay cheers to all our hardy Throwdowners. SB looks forward to hearing from one and all this week.
