Today, this post really is going up on Friday! Usually it is posted early for the sake of convenience, but we've been waiting for the site to return after the maintenance being done on it. Thank goodness, it's back -- I missed it, as I am sure many others did.

Superbob is filling in for the intrepid Chimp this week. Because of everything going on, the Man of Steel hasn't had time to remove his garb and step on the scales -- too much saving of world and self to do! But will weigh Saturday morning, promise!

Superbob's main news is that he has gotten evaluated by the local chiropractor and has a plan going forward starting next Tuesday that entails 30 adjustments and 24 therapies. Was pleasantly surprised to find that my insurance will cover most of this. Maybe insurers are awakening to the reality that alternative forms of medicine can be effective and WAY more cost-effective that surgeries and pricey drugs. I think about all the orthopedists have to offer me for my stenotic back and now pain radiating down the hip and left are epidurals or surgery. I hope to avoid those if at all possible. My chiro and his lovely assistant also serve as exercise and nutrition consultants, so hopefully I will get some of the benefits that personal trainers and dietitians might bring.

Enough about ol' Superbob. How is everything going for the other Throwdowners? :Face-Cool:

Super dornole injured herself saving a small child from a speeding vehicle and hasn't been able to exercise.

No, actually a frozen turkey fell on my toe. Hoping it is not broken. Babying it. At least it doesn't really hurt any more.

You have to appreciate the comic value.

Ouch, superdornole! I won't even attempt a frozen turkey joke -- that hurts! Do hope it's not broken! :Face-Worried:

Toe injured by falling frozen turkey . . .
gotta love it! My 5K got all messed up. The course wasn't properly marked and we were sent the wrong direction. I was irritated, but the day was full of family and friendship, so I got over it. Quickly! Superbob, I'm anxious to hear how Tuesday's session turns out. It seems like you have a good deal going. I stayed the same for the week: 149.

Staying the same is a win, Duffey. Good going. I am a slug -- didn't weigh again on a last Saturday morning. Last night DW didn't want to cook, so we got Chinese takeout. All the sodium and sugar can only mean bad news. Meanwhile, I know you have shared some concerns here on TD about tonsils -- hope and pray that works out well for you.

Guess SB will work up the courage to step on scales again soon. Don't think it's going to be good -- too much eat-out.

Awesome Duffey!! nice job staying level and completing your 5K - you are on a roll!

I think I'm turning INTO a roll. Well, the swelling in my toe is going down so hopefully it's NOT broken and it won't be 8 weeks before I can run, or anything like that.

I hope the chiro brings you relief Superbob, that would be such a blessing to you.

WOO HOO! Finally mustered courage to step on scales, and I haven't gained any! That's welcome after birthday eating and assorted other eating-out. Hope by this weekend to have a little loss if grandkids will please finish the rest of the birthday cake for me. Chiro is asking about working with me on losing weight -- don't know whether he has a regimen I can faithfully follow or not. He's very determined about achieving objectives, so maybe some of that could wear off on me.

Praying for Throwdowners who are facing health challenges as mentioned from time to time here, specifically Duffey. Hope to hear from her soon. All best to all Throwdowners…..
