Happy Thanksgiving!!! I’m up 4 pounds this week and I know where every ounce came from:rolleyes2: ... This has been a very stressful week and I ate my way through it:eek2: ... read the Bible? ... heard of Job? .... well, not quite that bad but that’s what it’s seemed like ... I will not go through the chain of events but lets just say it has been one thing after another ... But I have my health, my loved ones and friends .... the things that mater ....

I’m truly thankful for you guys ... may your day be filled with love and peace ...:smile2:

Thanksgiving Day Marathon Starting Weight: 217
Last Week .... 224.5
This Week .... 228.5
Marathon Stats .... +11.5

Happy Thanksgiving Mr Chimpster and all my dear friends here.:smile2:

Maybe after the feasting is done, we can think about our next race?

How about a Race to Maintain through New Year's Day? All are winners who can stay within their current weight, plus or minus 3 pounds. Then we could start a new weight-loss race, to Saint Paddy's Day maybe?

Sounds good to me ... I'm still going for the long term 50 lbs but the sprints are so much fun I vote yes!! ... Superbob, enjoy the mountains:thumbup:

Ha! I totally forgot about weighing yesterday and the fact there would be a new thread.

My end weight is higher than at any point in recent months, I think. This morning I weighed 192.8, which is a 4.3 pound gain for this sprint.

I'm for maintaining until the new year, but my doctor isn't I know. I see him again on December 6 and I want to lose a little by then. We have Thanksgiving dinner at Cindy's mom tomorrow. Today we will eat with my stepdaughter and family herein Louisville at a place called Lynn's Paradise Cafe. It's a fun place, the kids love it, and it is one of the most unique eateries in the southeastern states. I will enjoy that more than Saturday's meal, I can say with certainty.

I have no idea what I weigh! I've spent the last 8 days sick at home with bronchitis, barely eating, not sleeping, feeling absolutely miserable, and scared I'm going to cough my valves out of my chest.
Talk about a blast from the past, bronchitis is what started my valve journey 6.5 years ago. I didn't need a reminder about what CHF feels like, thank you.
Fortunately I'm on the mend, but see, I TOLD my boss I was working myself to death with these 60 hour weeks! Durn it, I barely had my finger in the dyke holding back the flood of year end deadlines as it was. Now I'm further behind with 12/31 looming.
Kee-rap.
Now back to my rock pile.... or dam, or whatever it is.

Laurie, sorry that you've been feeling so terribly. I sure hope your employer comes to the realization that you are being pushed too far. Oh, but wait, what am I saying? If they have figured that out, they probably won't. Take care of yourself!

Good Chimp, but watch them leftovers; they can be putty potent. Superbob wooke up at 4 a.m. and grabbed a slab of pecan pie -- the forbidders are all around! :eek2::biggrin2:

We dined at a friends and did not bring anything home .... going to try and lose a few pounds between now and Christmas:biggrin2:

The annoyance from Down Under is back . . . my suggestion for this week for each of you: Instead of (or as well as) reporting your weight, report your activity (i.e. 1hr of swimming, 1/2hr walking). See who does the most. If you want to be healthy (whether that involves losing weight ot not), you need to MOVE. Can the chimp move more than SuperBob this week, or will Duffey smash them both . . . .

GO!!!!

The Chimp is out of his element in the water. I think he does it just for the massage afterwards. :p Ain't no way he can move more than Superbob, who will be taking Superdawg on catch-up walks once back on the coast. As for the Yo-Yo Queen, there sure ain't no way she's going to out-do the Man of Steel. :biggrin2:

Thanks for the advise but we get plenty of exercise sprinting to the dinner table:rolleyes2:

We left the forbiddens at Cindy's mother's house yesterday as well. I still have part of a pumpkin pie though. I'd throw it away, but I made it myself and it's not trash eligible. ; )

We have enjoyed seven solid gorgeous golden days in western Tennessee, and now it's pouring rain as we prepare to head back to the Palmetto State. I hope Superdawg, my personal trainer, is ready 'cause she has her work cut out in getting me back in shape (or what passes as "shape" for me)...:biggrin2: Of course, as Cooker says, we get in a lot of our exercise sprinting for the fridge or dinner table. ;)
