Greetings! I trust this finds all well... TheChimp is down 2 pounds this week and could have been more but I had a sugar binge last night... I have been walking and am feeling pretty good... it amazes me how a little exercise can change how you feel!!

How did your week go? I hope everyone is well!!

RTNYD15 Starting Weight: 230.75
Last Week: 233.50

Today's Weight: 231.50

Good job, Cooker! I'm down a pound for the week. I missed three days of walking due to six days of rain, but I did manage to get a 3.2 mile distance in on Sunday. It looks like all five of our kids are going to be here at various times over the week-end, so I will be busy, busy, busy for a few days. I hope everyone enjoys the week-end and sheds some weight!
Last week: 151
This week: 150

Good going, Cooker and Duffey. I was flat-dab alarmed when I weighed Monday; even called my doc wondering about diabetes med effect. However, by getting sensible (not a normal condition for me) I have trimmed 3.3 of the alarming gain I saw Monday. Still about a pound up for the race, I think, but I will do an official report tomorrow. Best to all….

Also, Superbob will be leading a Mended Hearts team in the three-mile Heart Walk this Saturday morning at Broadway at the Beach. Myrtle Beach. Cheers welcome. Check out my blog at steadfastdawgwalker.com if interested in further details.

Just as I thought, I have lost 3 pounds since Monday in a panic to head off recent piling on of weight, but I'm still one pound on plus side for the Great Race. Watch out, I'm like the San Francisco Giants, I might beat you in flukey ways.

Ok I have walked walked 4 days so far this week and played golf on the 5th... scheduling is making it hard to walk this weekend and next week but I know what happens when I layout a couple of days so I'm trying to squeeze it in!!! Been eating pretty well except for last light's Chinese Buffet!!!!!

Did battle with Krispy Kreme and lost !!!!!

:Face-Cool:

There is no winning any battles with Krispy Kreme -- I use blinders when passing the beach Krispy Kreme factory, lest the "hot" light be on. More tempting than anything else that might be "hot" in the beach environs.

I know it's best not to weigh every day but after my panic a week ago when seeing a higher number than seen before, I m pleased to see myself down another pound this morning, and back to my starting weight, no gain for the Great Race. -- now to start losing! NO KRISPY KREMES! NO RIDICUOUS SPLURGES AT BUFFETS!

It also helped that the weather for the Heart Walk yesterday was spectacular. I completed the lap around all of Broadway at the Beach, resisting the temptation to divert at Starbucks, laughing at college girls who diverted into a fashionable shoe shop. Some athletic types did another lap -- but 1.5 miles of brisk walking was good for me; made me realize that the walking I do with Superdawg is start and stop for her to sniff the roses…..must keep up that of course, but need to add some continuous walking for me, maybe at a school track.

Happy Sunday to all! :Face-Angel:

I think I'm confused. This was a race to see who can gain the most weight by New Year's Day, right? I'm winning!!

Start 131
Last week 133
This week 138

What are you doing Sweeney???

Dornole, sometimes shock therapy is just what's needed (in my case anyway) -- but I am very sure you don't need the kick start as much as I do. Anyway, as Duffey said, it's a good bet that fluid retention is involved. Beware those Krispy Kreme fantasies though.

Thanks for the support guys. Emotional eating, my final frontier! I don't even love sweets that much. I just inhale them and other carbs in an addictive and sad way. I'm better than I used to be though. My "horrible week" used to be my "every week." Well, my every week was worse, actually.

I'm doing well so far today - eggs and veggies for breakfast - big salad with veggies and chicken for lunch - stuck to coffee while out with buddies instead of downing a muffin - my healthy dinner and my 8:30 "small and savored" treat are planned out - I went to my exercise class - I walked a bit and will do more. I know that a better mood is only a few hours away if I take care of my poor body in a kind way by feeding it appropriately and walking it. "Shake it off!" as the song goes . .

Duffey I noticed you've been steady at 1 lb or week losses most of the month, that is super awesome and I applaud you. Keep it up!!

Awesome news about the mended hearts walk Superbob and I like your idea to figure out how to get more continuous effort in beyond the dog walking.

No Krisy Kreme here, we had one but when the school district implemented their wellness policy, they went outta business. : ) I got pastries at the good bakery today though and I am going to enjoy my little cherry tart over the next 4 days and the rest is for the kids. No more hanging my head this week for me.

Carry on everybody!!
