Greetings! I feel fortunate that I can report no change this week. Since surgery on Tuesday I have been totally inactive. I have tried not to consume the normal days calories and have done pretty well. The anesthesia has curbed my appetite and the pain meds have caused some constipation so all in all a wash is an accomplishment. Hope to be back at work next week but will make that call when I get closer to Monday.

How are you guys and gals doing? Any weight loss to report? Any Ideas to spark new interest in the Throwdown? This thread has been around a long time and it may have run it's course.

2015 Starting Weight: 243.50

This Week's Weight: 241.50

Wow! Say it ain't so, Chimp. The place wouldn't be the same without Cooker's Old Reliable throwdown. Besides, those of us with weight problems have it for life so we need some place to hang out.

I'm at 198.0 this week down fractionally from last week. I had a tough caloric weekend. Went out to dinner with friends to a favorite Japanese restaurant. I ordered properly but my dear husband refused to share the signature desert, a molten lava cake, so of course we ordered two ;( And I'm having a glass and a half of wine these days instead of just one glass and that adds some calories. OTOH, I am really watching food portion size and staying away from most carbs. I have 17 days left until I do the sawed in half magic trick and i wanna look presentable when I'm nekkid on the table. :)

Hey......................let me in on this weight loss stuff ! My surgery will probably be the second week of Feb, close to your date, Jim. I will have my date on 2-4 at my next appointment. I can't even imagine trying to loose weight right now ! Too much stress with anticipated surgery, plus GERD has been worse. ( I need to loose about 40#) GREAT JOB to those who are loosing.

Welcome Murby... lots of stress getting ready for OHS... I would not worry about dieting right now ... just try to eat healthy and relax ... welcome aboard!!!!

Just checking in.... trying to get back with a normal routine one step at a time .... saw the cardio yesterday and he was not pleased that my HR and BP were elevated ... I explained that a combination of pain, being pissed off and not being able to move around was the culprit... he agreed ...

How about the rest of the Throwdowners.... what's going on? Bob, DW? Jim, how's the countdown going?

don't worry, be happy ...........................peace out

Mix of good and bad here - very good exercise last week - carb feeding frenzy at a retreat last weekend has me feeling down. But I know I can do it! I am just going to keep working on consistency for my tracking, eating and workouts so I can get ahead rather than doing the forward and back cha-cha
