I'd have to change my avatar first!:tongue2:
Dunno about spotting us any poundage, if you keep going to cookouts, Cooker. :biggrin2:Of course, I love to win so we'll take five again if you don't mind.:rolleyes2::tongue2:

If the guys agree to the 5 pound spot we are on ... starting weight will be the weight reported on 9-9-11 ... what say ye guys????

Labor Day weekend is a gone and I'm moving toward removing it's damage to my waistline ... chose to spend Monday morning with DW rather than walk but I'm off on my walk this morning ...

Happy Birthday, Wise man! Hope you have a wonderful celebration.

As for the next race, maybe it would be simplest to just do individual. Superbob will do his bit for fairness by using his weight at the end of the Labor Day sprint as his new starting mark, instead of using his added weight during the past long weekend as a quick and easy starting loss.

OK ... the sprint to 11-11-11 will be individual ... sorry ladies, no 5 pound spot:tongue2: .... a starting weight of end weight of Labor Day sounds good to me ... I need to lose two more pounds just to break even but it is what it is ... no need counting pounds already lost ...

It's on then! Who's in? This time of year is like the start of a new year -- school year opening, and all --- good time for Throwdowners to rally. Think we are missing a few stalwarts. Won't call out by name -- yet. :p You'all come back! :D

Hi Everyone

I'm in for the 11-11--11 individual sprint. Y'all may be in trouble as I have maintained last Fridays 204 on my weigh in this morning. I was quite surprised to find the loss of 6 lbs in one week myself, lots of bike riding last week. (sorry to those who took the whole labour day sprint time to lose 6 lbs. and a bit.) For myself I'm adding the demention of my waist line taken at my belly button 40 in, and a fat pinch at the right hand love handle of 1 1/4". Hmm...

Happy birthday Wise...not too much cake eh?

Bob

I don't like using last week's weight to start the new race. I slacked off big time over the long week-end, so I'm going with whatever I weigh this Thursday.
I have my answer ready (bite me) for anyone who has a problem with it!:tongue2:

In the meantime . . . Happy birthday, Wise!:smile2:

We used to have a "Ref," who could make such command decisions. Oh wait, she just did!

Thanks for the birthday wishes friends. Had a simple but tasty Mexican meal and cake that I made at home. Perfect day.

Now I really need the race to 11-11-11. Maybe I can lose 11 pounds by then.

Superbob will participate with joy in the next race with weekly reporting and banter, but he is thinking about not vying for the top prize if it's an individual race-- since he has the most to lose, he has an unfair advantage in these races. Plus, he often backslides, then re-loses weight again that counts in a race (true confession) :p

Or if we can get enough interest, we could do boys versus girls, after figuring out some fair way to give the gals an opening advantage. Maybe we need to do an informal count of who will be participating.

The Gamecocks will be a force this year, Mr. Chimp. The Vols are young and rebuilding, but I think they will be a bit better than .500 this year, and will knock off a powerhouse team or two. It's great to have college football going again. Congrats to Rhena -- I see the Longhorns won yesterday, too. So looks like they're back, as she said they would be.

Thanks SB, but one game does not a season make - it was Rice after all!! Now if we can beat UCLA this year (coming 9-17 at UCLA) then I'll feel much better. They beat the crap out of us last year, ending our long standing home game winning streak. That was the only game I went to last year and it was on my birthday! Crappy b-day present.

Speaking of birthdays - Happy Happy to Wise - maybe a little belatedly. Super Congrats to SuperBob on his Super Win and congrats to second place winner Mr. Chimp. and honorable mention to CanoeBob. All of ya'll done good! Duffey - good job!!! I'm with the ref about starting weight...... I didn't even get on the scale I was so disgusted with myself. I'll weigh tomorrow am for my starting weight for the race for the 1's. The end of that is perfect timing for me. 6 days before I leave on vacation and I really really need to drop some weight.

Wildfires are burning all around us - very scary here and oh so dry. Sadly a close friend of mine lost her house to the fires in Bastrop and 6 other of my friends evacuated from another fire west of town - but they got to go home today and found their houses intact. At least today we had a little respite from the heat. It was only in the low 90's. We had something like 87 days of over 100 temps this summer (and I'll bet it ain't over yet.)

Guys vs Girls is fair - but I think we need to be spotted something.... let's see how many we have on each team first.

If any of you lurking out there are participating - chime in! We will take late starters too. Especially if they are of the female persuasion. :biggrin2:

Can I vote for CanoeBob's idea of including his waist circumference ? Brilliant idea.

No :tongue2:

No sand bagging, er so to speak:wink2: ... everyone start where you want ...
