Greetings! ... The race to Labor Day has crossed the finish line ... I am down a total of 5.5 pounds for the race:thumbup: ... I was going to weigh in on Friday (last day to post weight) but I always post on Thursday so why change now ... I just hope I can continue my walking and new way of eating ...

I hope everyone has had fun with this and lost a pound or two ... So what will the next race be? ... Race to Thanksgiving maybe? ... Win, lose or draw, just being associated with such a great group of losers means the world to me! ... Have a great week and keep pressing downward:smile2:

Race to Labor Day starting Weight: 209.5
This Week's Weight: 204.0 ... ( 2.4984 kg:tongue2:)
Labor Day Race Loss: 5.5

Wow, The Chimp is down to 2.4984 kg. That's just 5 pounds and 8.12 ounces! Afraid Superbob can't match that. :p

After double-dawg walking and swimming, Superbob will weigh in tomorrow.

I thought I would weigh in and thus have a day of feasting ... but on second thought if I always do what I have always done I will stay on the yo-yo train ... and quite frankly I'm tired of losing the same weight over and over ... so I put on my tennis shoes, grabbed my walking stick and off I went ... I plan on a low cal day and then plate of celebratory spaghetti tonight before trying to lose as much as I can before the holidays:thumbup:

Good job Cooker! Good luck SB!

I'm going ahead and reporting my weight. It could be lower tomorrow, but who knows. I'm at 183.6 pounds, which is down .2 from last week. However, that is up 2.6 for the race. Cindy and have been fighting the "CRUD" lately and I'm getting ready to go to the doc to getting some CRUD Blasting meds. One bit of good news though. My echo that I had done recently shows no change. I may just defy the odds and have a normally operating bicuspid aortic valve (text-book, as I was told by the echo tech) for a long long time.

Just got Cindy's email .. sorry you both have been under the weather ... get your meds, eat some soup or a nice big bowl of ice cream, preferably banana:biggrin2:

Way to go Cooker. :smile2:Of course Superbob might swoop in and still report a greater loss for the race. :tongue2: Guess we'll wait and see.:smile2:

Wise, great echo report!:smile2:

I had the 12 hour crud yesterday, so my loss is probably attributable to that; nevertheless, I'll Take It!!!!

Starting weight: 157
Today's weight: 154
Loss: 3 pounds

First, Superbob is sorry to hear that Wise, Cindy, and Duffey have been under the weather. Hope you're all feeling better!

Okay, here it is:

Superbob's starting weight for the Race to Labor Day: 121.109 kilograms

Superbob's finishing weight for the Race to Labor Day: 118.387 kilograms

Total loss for Superbob: 2.722 kg

Kilograms to pounds conversion: 2.722 kg = 6 pounds and 0.01 ounces

Superbob's total loss for the Labor Day Race: 6 pounds and 0.01 ounces

Congratulations to all the stalwart Throwdowners. SB is looking forward to the next phase of our journey. SB hopes he doesn't put back on any of this weight in snacking through the opening weekend of college football! Go Vols!

Are we missing some of our Throwdowners? Nelson? Laurie? (Agilitydog) --- maybe they're on summer-ending vacations? Anyway we miss them and hope they'll be back soon. :smile2:

Being an international presence, Superbob is doing his best to plug the metric system. Do you realize, fellow Americans, that we are one of only three nations (Burma and Liberia being the other two) that have not gone metric? Write in Superbob for President and he will see that this is remedied.

Finally, a shout-out to the intrepid Chimp, our inspirational leader. You made a great final run in this race and nearly caught the caped crusader. Good goin' Chimpster!

What's our next race: to 11-11-11, a magical day when if SB is still around on this Earth, he plans to do lots of partying. Or a Race to Turkey Day? Whatever, SB is up for the challenge.

Lesseeee....If starting weight was at July 4, then I'm up 2.5 lbs as of today. Toldja I've been fighting this. I can only blame it on the heat, I guess.

I bought myself a new fancy schmancy elliptical machine, got delivered yesterday. So I'm hoping to increase my exercise time and get back to doing weight work. I mean gee whiz, I thought I'd been following my WW pretty well all along. I'm not sure this free fruit plan they've got is working for me.

Anyway, my goal is to get back under 135 before my cardio appointment in October, then back to 132 by Thanksgiving.

Jet-face is getting a root canal tomorrow - she broke a major tooth. Oh, my aching credit card! So I'll have a dopey dog all weekend - I'm sure she'll be on some good pain meds for a few days. We really can't get out and play much on anything other than a surface that has been well watered these days, so this is a good time to get this fixed, anyway. The cracks in the ground around here will break your leg! At least the heat is supposed to break next week.

No, I've not been on vacation - work is insane and will be for the next few weeks. Right now I'm taking a short break until my migraine meds kick in - because I can't work with a migraine fuzzing out my vision.

WOW! WAY TO GO, Caped Crusader! I thought you might swoop in and snatch victory from the Chimp's outstretched appendages! An exciting finish to an exciting race!

SuperBob has crossed the finish line in great style ... Congrats oh caped one:thumbup: ... Now for the business at hand ... I think a race to 11-11-11 is a great idea! ... The shorter sprints work better for most, they do for me ... I indulged yesterday in a carb loading extravaganza and am now ready to sprint again ....

This is your Throwdown folks so what's it to be, 11-11-11 or Thanks giving Day??

It was virtually a dead heat, Mr. Chimp. DW wanted Italian tonight. I tried to limit the damage by getting chicken marsala instead of a big ol plate of pasta but bet if we had a weigh-in in the morning, you'd beat me. Anyway, this sprint has been fun and good for me. I am up for whatever race the boys and girls would like next time around. BTW, speaking of boys and girls, will it be teams this time, or individual -- or maybe The Chimp and the Caped Crusader versus the field! ;)

Tomorrow Superbob is going to have a celebratory scone -- cranberry-orange if he can find it (they're rare in the Palmetto State) or blueberry will do. :smile2:

Congrates to everyone especialy the chimp and superbob-the banter between has been entertaining, inspiring and FUN! My sprint starting weight 208.5, last week 210, today a lower end of a -yo, 204. More later, this response is on my cellphone. Bob

HUGE inspection at work yesterday ... every thing evaluated, building to EVERY product served ... I am required to stay with the inspector (5 hours) and take notes and taste test each product, including milk shakes, ice cream, you see where I'm going with this ... this coupled with the Labor Day festivities will no doubt put me in prime losing position for the next sprint....

Go Gamecocks ... ugly win but a win ...
SuperBob, Congrats on the Vols win!

Superbob will participate with joy in the next race with weekly reporting and banter, but he is thinking about not vying for the top prize if it's an individual race-- since he has the most to lose, he has an unfair advantage in these races. Plus, he often backslides, then re-loses weight again that counts in a race (true confession) :p

Or if we can get enough interest, we could do boys versus girls, after figuring out some fair way to give the gals an opening advantage. Maybe we need to do an informal count of who will be participating.

The Gamecocks will be a force this year, Mr. Chimp. The Vols are young and rebuilding, but I think they will be a bit better than .500 this year, and will knock off a powerhouse team or two. It's great to have college football going again. Congrats to Rhena -- I see the Longhorns won yesterday, too. So looks like they're back, as she said they would be.

Superbob ... guys vs girlies OK with me but did we not lose when we spotted them 5 pounds? ... I think we need to figure it out ... what say ye girlies? ... up for a little battle of the sexes???? ...

Went to a cookout yesterday, food hangover this morning!!! ... I can't believe I ate the whole thing:redface2: ....
Happy Labor Day!!!!
:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:
