Yeah, just like the programmers I work with - I report a problem, they fix it without telling me and then come tell me they can't recreate it! Trying to make me think I'm nuts! :D Sneaky little devils. Anyway, good news is that it does appear to be resolved now, but it was there yesterday and had been there for a good while. Thanks for fixing it Hank and for all you do on the forum... it is appreciated!

Hey, Rhena. What was fixed? I replied to this subject, but I'm not sure I'm talking about the same problem.

I saw the Quaker Oats mini delights advertised, but I don't like mint. Do they come in a different flavor? They look delicious.
The fruit crisps are sort of like a cookie/crunchy pastry type snack. I can't really describe them, but they are good!

Superbob is discovering that there are Superfoods that help him greatly, Superheroes do not have to live by celery alone!

SB has trouble staying with whole wheat bread, but he finds that whole wheat pita is tasty. And has only 2g of sugar.

Other good things:

blueberries

strawberries

almonds and other nuts (in moderation)

low-fat yogurt

old-fashioned oatmeal

oranges

These are among the "green light" foods that you can eat at any time. Celery with just a taste of peanut butter also helps.

Hey there Wise. I was really just speculating that something had changed because I was no longer having the problem. My problem was when I used the 'Reply to Thread' button that used to be at the bottom of this page, but has now moved to the top. (More evidence that something has changed.) When I used to use that button and then submitted my post it returned a page with an error of some sort. It led you to believe your post didn't work, but it did. I think it was trying to 'refresh' the page and direct me back to the thread, but it failed. I'm posting this using 'Reply with Quote' and I expect it to work just fine. I had no issues before when using 'Reply' or 'Reply with Quote' at the bottom of each person's post.

I will do a test using the 'Reply to Thread' button (now at the top of the page) to see if it works on my computer at home which is Windows 7. Where I had success with it the other day for the first time since the new vr.org started was at work where my machine is Windows 2000 professional.

I can't even open this thread if I use Google Chrome as my browser, which is a bit of annoyance, but I figured a low priority issue. I can use Internet Explorer instead. I get an 'Unacceptable something or other ' message and forum won't even open in Chrome. It is odd it will work for other forums just fine, but not the Throwdown. BTW, Google Chrome is a pretty cool browser if you haven't tried it you can download it for free. I prefer it to Internet Explorer version 8 - except for the fact that it doesn't work so well with the Throwdown .;)

Anyway, takes awhile to work out the kinks anytime you make a switch as big as this and some patience.

Thanks for the answer Rhena. I'm still having all of these issues and getting into the Throwdown through the back door (don't tell anyone ; ) ).

Below is a PM I sent to Duffey and Superbob and Duffey suggested I post it to the ThrowDown. I directed it to them first simply because I think they have been here since the start, maybe Wise and Cindy too .... I did not intend to omit anyone .....

Hi M & SB ... just wanted to let you both know that I think I need a break from the ThrowDown. I have already asked Jim if he would take over the birthday greetings and he said he would do his best. I am really burned out right now and need to simplify my life for a spell. I just can't keep the chatter going and do not feel that I am encouraging people the way I should.

It's a toss up and I hope that one of you would take over starting the thread and the other be the task master (Ref). It will also be fine with me if you want to rename it as well.

There is nothing wrong with my health so don't be concerned that's the cause of this. I simply need a break from feeling I have to do it every week. I will still weigh in from time to time and at some point be able, I hope to really be a vital part of keeping it interesting which I am not now.

Please let me know.

Tom

Tom, I totally understand. Everyone needs a break now and then. Cindy and I will participate if SB and the Ref are up to it.

Will sleep on it. Understand the need to take a break but hard to imagine the throwdown without The Chimp. Is there enough interest here to continue it? Best to continue on, or to give it a rest for a while?

Okay, it's morning, the sun is shining and I am about to have coffee. The world looks a little better.

I will try starting the Throwdown weekly for a while, if there is enough interest in continuing it. Could Superbob have a showing of hands? :D

Four hands up here in Louisville! Thanks to the SuperHero for loaning us his special powers!

Thanks, Wise. You and Cindy are stalwarts of the Throwdown. I know we have several others who were enthusiastic participants in the Saint Paddy's Day Race, so we'll try to get enthusiasm pumped up again with the great race to Fourth of July (hot dogs and apple pie -- yum -- rewards!)

My hands are occupied, but I have two feet that are elevated in agreement.
For anyone wondering about the Chimp's whereabouts, I think I've solved the mystery.

Hot dogs and apple pie to the winner then. Of course, they will have to go solo dutch to get the reward. ; )

TheChimp will not totally vanish and I still need the accountability of weighing in ... Thanks Bob for taking the helm and to all of you losers who are staying the course:cool:
