Bina. Unfortunalty I think I can compare myself to you. It seems I am not good at recovery. When did you start to feel "normal" Bina?

Oops, didn't see your post, John.
In all honesty, I have not felt "normal" since surgery. I went through some depression, then anxiety, and now I am just kind of feeling like a disabled person with these stupid arrhythmias that limit me so much.
BUT, you are a young healthy guy and will pull through this. Gauge your progress by the week, not the day. :)

Wow. That is tragic and scary Bina. On a scale of 1-10. 1 feeling the worst 10 the best. How do you normally feel. In the last 5 weeks I have had a few 7's with mostly 5's. How do you feel?

What I have been thrilled with was my immediate relief from breathing restriction. That gets a rating of 9, very good.
My annoyance is the stupid HR/arrhythmia thing, and I probably should have dumped my cardio after he blew it all off.
But, I didn't dump him, and I stayed on the BBs out of fear, maybe that was not good on my part, but it's kind of late now.
If I have nice relaxed days, I do feel good and sleep well, but I wish I could be more active.
It sounds like you are feeling better John, good days will become more frequent.

Bina. What created the immediate relief from breathing restrictions? I would love a new cardioologist too but I don't have the energy and can't be bothered changing. I think it may come back to bite me in the bum later though. I Have a fantastic oncologist for my 12 year leukemia. What a difference when you have a specialist that is knowledgeable and you can tell cares. I do think I have been feeling better the last few days. STill weak and mild flu like but the major aches and pain seem to be subsiding. Hopefully things are turning around. Its a journey though. Is it two months or three before you can lift over 10lbs? I have it written somewhere. That will be a huge milestone. Take care.

Just having the surgery cleared up my breathing problems.
Yes, changing cardios is a big decision, but since my cardio is in Quebec, I just may need one here in ontario anyway.
My GP is a really nice doc, and super busy. We have big waiting lists now to get into GPs.
Regarding the lifting of 10 lbs, some docs say 2 months (8-9 weeks) depending on if the sternum is solid and not clicking or moving. This is not worth rushing into.
