Well, it's official. Surgery is in my near future. According to Dr Griffin, Dr Lytle is booked about 2 months out, so we'll take it from there. I expect I'll be hearing from his scheduler in the next couple of days. My cath today went well, probably the most traumatic part was getting that IV started (three tries!). They used the "plug" so I only had to stay a couple of hours after they finished. My coronary arteries looked good. The gradient they saw on the echo was confirmed on the cath, so Dr Griffin told me to "take it easy" (no climbing four flights of stairs LOL), contact them immediately if I have any symptoms. Kind of scary, makes you wonder if you're sitting on a time bomb. He told me I could continue to go to the gym, just don't add anything very vigorous to the routine. (Guess that means I can't try out the spinning class! ) I'm glad to have it behind me and ready to move forward. At least I have some time to get mentally ready for the experience.
Guess I'll need to change my signature line!
