This is her daughter posting again-

I thought I'd like to tell you that Shambles died of complications due to her open heart surgery on Friday, June 23rd at 3:43 pm.

After cancelling surgery to put in a pacemaker last Monday, doctors proceded with the surgery on Wednesday. She was talking and awake when they took out her artificial pacemaker. She began to have breathing troubles as my dad and sister came to the hospital to take her home. She began to black out and kept saying 'I'm not gonna make it, I'm not gonna make it' He was rushed out as they called a code blue and preformed cpr for about 30 minutes. They took her into surgery and opened her back up and found severe swelling of her heart- which wasn't supplying enough oxygen to her brain. We were told in surgery waiting she had three or four days to wake up or she didn't have much of a chance of waking up- but she would have brain damage if she did or didn't. My dad and I got to see her that night. The next day she was still in a coma but her blood pressure and heart rate were fine. The nurse came in and told us her blood pressure was getting lower so we all went into the room. It kept getting lower and lower but we all knew she would pull throught it like she always does. The priest came in and started giving her her last rights which we weren't ready for and scared us. My sister and I were holding both her hands as it kept going down until it finally stopped and the nurse, crying, told us she was gone. Tears came out of her eyes as she died- even though they just said it was her tear ducts releasing we think it was because she heard us. The funeral was yesterday and we had the longest procession anyone has ever seen. We have tons of flowers- even some from Marc Anthony and JLo, since she was one of his biggest fans.

If she hasn't told you already, she would like you to know her real name was Cindy Karnish.

We have lost another

We have lost another

It is such a shock to come to this board looking to help someone and you see that another soul has been taken from us so suddenly. It is a life that laughed and cried, felt joy and sorrow and now teaches us that we all must be humble in our appreciation of our remaining days on this earth. Let us all hope
that the doctor will learn from her passing and that knowledge will make the future safer for all who have heart surgery- she has help us all! To her family, we must send love and thoughts that she is in a better place now.
God speed, Cindy!

My heartfelt condolences go to the family. May she rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy are with Cindy's family. Her heart had a battle over the last few years. I pray that their wonderful memories help sustain them at this very difficult time.

Please accept my sincere condolences at the loss of your wife and mother.

May God's grace provide strength during this time, and his love sustain you
forever.

While reading the wonderful tributes on the links, it is obvious Cindy was a beautiful soul who will be sorely missed. She made a solid place in our hearts during her short time as a VR.com member. Although we all know the risks, small though they may be, it is still a shock to hear of such a tragic loss.
I am sure we will all have the answers someday as to why things like this happen but, for now, the comfort must be in the memories made in the 46 years Cindy was here. Judging from the pictures, those were intense and happy memories.
My condolences to the Karnish Family.

The tributes to Cindy that are available by online link show us that she was a central figure in a warm and loving family. May that family be sustained by many happy memories and the assurance that Cindy's spirit is eternal. We knew her just a brief time on vr.com but she contributed much to our understanding. We will miss her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I too looked through the pictures in the slide show, and it was evident to me that she was a warm and caring wife and mother. May God be with her and with all of you.

I am so deeply saddened and shaken by Cindy's passing. What a loss to your family as well as the family she had gathered here at vr.com. Knowing her deepest wishes and greatest fears made it easy to get to know her and very, very hard to hear this tragic news.
I pray that the love and life she shared with you will sustain you through this difficult time.

Please accept my sincere condolences, she was so young, with all the photos seemed so full of life! As my father was taken when he was also 46 from heart problems, I do know the pain you all feel. God Bless you all.....!

We all know the risks of OHS but it doesn't make it any easier when one of our members doesn't survive.
