Burair is a host extraordinare! You honestly can not meet any nicer people than Burair and Ammina. Burair is talking about a Spring outing and I would encourage any and all in the area to come. Fermi Lab is really an incredible place. There's talk of canoeing! :)

Gina and Chris, it was great meeting you. Cort, nice to see you again.

Truth is Burair and Ammina's son Ishaq was the height of the tour. What a cutie!

sorry i missed it!

See Gina's response below ;). Plus...I have won games before...just not against you. Heh. One of these days....

Cort & Burair beat Gina & Chris at pool, 3 games to 1. All the games were close but, winning is winning and big congrats to C&B from G&C. We will look forward to a rematch.

Yes we will! And, yes, they were all very excellent and exciting games!

I am proud to be able to say I witnessed a "Cort sighting"! :) AND got to see one of the Monte Carlos.

You know you've made it big when people continue to talk about "Cort sightings" even when you have been home for just about a month. LOL!

*grins*

Sorry the '87 was less than clean...that's what daily driving does to cars...!

Burair, I hope your trip to NY is uneventful and easy. We will be thinking of and praying for you on Dec. 2.

Amen! Good luck, Burair!

And, it was great meeting and seeing everyone again! Those of you unable to join us, we DID miss you! Karlynn, you 2 missed a great dinner, btw ;).

*pauses*

And, yes...a gathering in the spring is in order....

*pauses again*

BTW, anyone heard from PerryA recently? We thought of him last night, too, when we were telling Burair who all is from the Chicagoland area.....

Thanks! For thinking of me, Cort and All.

Thanks! For thinking of me, Cort and All.

Dear Burair,

I have been following this thread off and on and wish I could have been there. I'm sort of in the same boat as Lorraine as far as getting away early on a weekday.

At one time I actually had your Reunion penciled in my calendar, but the eraser won! Nevertheless, I will look forward to hopefully making it to a Spring event at the Fermilab and meeting you and all my Chicagoland valve buddies there.

Burair, it was excellent of you to host a reunion at the famous Fermilab.

Well, have a very Happy Thanksgiving and, yes...I'll say it now!...a Merry Christmas everybody.

Cheers!

Perry,
Your ears should have been burning Friday night. We were talking about how we hadn't heard a peep from you in a while and were wondering how you were doing. Nice to see your smiling Avatar!

*grins and nods*

You are welcome, Perry! We were just concerned that we hadn't heard from you much recently...and weren't completely sure whether or not you had visited the site recently ;). Good to see that you _are_ still with us :).

And yes, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays!

Dear Burair,

I'm really sorry I had to miss it, but unfortunately work comes first. I hope I can be at the one in spring so I can meet you and your family and the vr.com local members I have not met before. Sounds like everyone had a blast! So Cort, you and Burair prevailed! I bet Gina M can't wait to take you on in the spring! :) I would be her partner but I'm not that great! Anyway, hope you post some pictures to post! Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

If you have trouble seeing this webpage let me know.

Thank you everyone who came, it was excellent fun. To those who missed out, we'll have a bigger bash in the spring.....

Regards,
Burair

Burair,
Wanted to wish you well on your trip today. I hope Ammina is able to get some nice relaxation time in before your surgery.

Burair,
I hope to make the spring reunion if you hold one. It's a seven hour drive, but if I know far enough in advance, I could take Friday off.
I didn't realize you were leaving for New York so soon; please take care and god speed through the surgery and recovery.
Mary

Mary, that sounds great! I fully intend to be at the next one myself. If we have a bunch coming in..... we can make a weekend out of it! If we are talking canoeing.....late spring..like May would be our best bet for the weather. Otherwise it tends to be pretty soggy and cold.

Gina,
It sounds good. We might bring our boys because they've never been to the Chicago area. I'm thinking we could spend Friday and Saturday night and have plenty of time to visit.
We just need to get Burair home and well now!
Mary

I'm sure the Fermilab grounds are lovely in the spring. They have a bison herd! Lots and lots of grounds.

Burair,

Great pictures...thanks for sharing! I hope you and your family arrived in NY safely today :). Prayers/thoughts coming your way, of course.

Lorraine,

Yes, Burair and I prevailed! Woo hoo!!! (But, I'm not celebrating or anything.)

Gina,

Bring on your pool playing skills this spring!

Speaking of the spring, if we have it in May, I have only early May open as mid-to-late May will be dedicated to preparing for my sister's wedding (May 29). Part of that preparation, believe it or not, is getting my "baby girls" cleaned and ****'n'span. She and her fiance (her fiance's idea, actually) have decided to use my "baby girls" as the transportation for the wedding party, while they ride in a 1900ish car supplied by a family friend :).

And, of course...the more the merrier! Maybe this could be VR.com Reunion, The Sequel ;).

Priority#1 return Burair to Chicago healed! :)

Don't really have too much going on in May. End of March/April pretty busy. Taking our spring trip to Mexico, the birthday that lasts 2 weeks (our daughter) ;)

I am sure we will find a nice warm date for everyone! Lets take the lead from Burair when he is back in the saddle again. In the meantime......Lorraine, let's plan that brunch!

Squeak, squeak. That's the sweet sound of the chalk against my pool cue :D I must be feeling better. My humor has returned

We are setting up our pool table next weekend (it's been in storage so it is pretty lonely). I am planning on practicing a lot so watch out Cort & Burair. :)
Early May will be great for us too so it's looking good. We are still considering a pool/pool party here this summer.
I will be posting some of the pics we took at Fermilab tomorrow.
Looking forward to Fermilab, the sequel.
Smiles, :)
Gina

Thanks Burair,

The pictures look great! Also Thank You Gina for the pictures you provided too. It's so nice to see our vr.com buddies getting together! It's such a special time. Didn't you feel like you already knew the people you hadn't met before? It' such a neat feeling.

Okay, now as for the date in spring. I know it's hard to schedule a time around everyones schedule but I do have to say, Early May would be out for me. We have exams from April 28 until May 14th next year. I co-ordinate exams and I put in long hours. Then on that Sunday is graduation which I believe is May 16? So I have to be there for that too, because I also organized all the alumni hooders who are going to hood their family members at graduation. Otherwise any other time would be fine. Hope we all can work something out.

Cort - You know Gina M is just itching to beat you again! :D Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Gina - I'll send you an email and see if we can work out a brunch date.

Again, thanks everyone for sharing the pictures. B

Burair, hope you and your family have a safe trip. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Who's the tall, hairy guy near Burair? Was he playing pool also and is he a VR member?
