Dee,

Glad to hear everything is OK. I'm thinking of trying the corticosteroid shots in my chest since my costochondritis is not improving. I'll let you know if it helps.

:)

hi dee,
sorry i haven't been on and just saw your posts about your chest pain.
it sounds like you have decided to have the tee, but now just want to decide whether to do it with or without coumadin for 2 days...

it's interesting that we are/have been going through a similar thing with my father who is in the hospital. i actually got a copy of his tests from his dr. and saw that a normal person's inr ranges from 0.8-1.3 (ross, you were on the mark!).

i posted PM that allodwick and i exchanged, and in my father's case, it was more important to control his internal bleeding (they actually gave him coagulants!).
it's so frightening when so many factors are involved_ makes for a higher incidence of complications.

in any case, i hope all goes well with your tee; please let us know when you schedule it.
be well, sylvia

Hey Bryan,
When I was pregant with my youngest dayghter they thought I had what who mention in your last post. But after she was born they found out that I had a hital hernia , ulcer, and gall bladder problems and it really started before I was pregant but they thought I had something else. It was the longest nine months of my life. Had surgery to take out my gall bladder when she was 3 wks old. I was lucky we lived next store to the add. of the hosp. and they let my neigbor bring the baby up to the hosp. so I could breast feed her. My first daughter was so sick when she was a baby i was determend to do for her. I took no drugs , they used bio-feedback instead and it really worked. My prayers are with you if your pain was anywhere near as bad as mine! This was in 1984 when the surgery was a biger deal than it is now.
