Boy, have had a week of changes, or at least one day. First, yesterday, went to pc for diabetes checkup and she told me, having a1c of 5.9. always good numbers, that I would have to have blood test twice a year. Yeah. Then, went to the pharmacy to fill a new test strips order, adn the inusurance started charging more. The pharmacy first called the doctor to change the amount of strips, and she went to change how often I test eacvh day. Then they called the inusrance company to make sure that the lower number was cheape. I don't mind the testing less, but to make diabetics feel punished to have a disease they have no control of having is wrong. I know there are those here who have to pay more for coumadin. We are the bottom line for the insurance company, money. Sad, but true. I have seen people having to decide on wheither to eat , pay the utlilities, or get medicine. I just had to get this off my chest. Thanks all.

Insurance companies.......grrrrr!

We just got notification from the local hospital in today's mail, that my husband's hospital stay was totally not covered by insurance! Zip. Zilch. Nada. Over $10,000! I'm sure it's a mistake, but everything is closed until Tuesday morning! Thanks for the lovely birthday present, medical cartel!

You're right...venting does help!
