Cause to celebrate!!!

HI All

Just got back from Florida.....was gone 5 days to help a friend clean our her winter home after her husband's death in January. We drove down, cleaned up and drove home.....not easy, but necessary.

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that Tyce had his checup with our cardio while I was in Fla. ALL IS WELL....THE ECHO IS GREAT, HIS HEART IS BACK TO NORMAL SIZE, AND THE VALVE IS WORKING ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. THEY ALSO GAVE HIM AN EKG WHILE HE WAS THERE ON THURSDAY AND ALL IS WELL THERE, TOO. Just wanted to share that with everyone because you guys were so wonderful prior to his surgery.

Of course, his coumadin level isn't right, yet. The cardio put him back on his normal dosage of 5 mg 5 days a week and 7.5 two days a week and it went back from 2.1 to 5.8 yesterday. I'll fax it into our cardio, but for now will reduce tonight's 7.5 dose to 5.0 and go from there. I'm sure i'll hear from them, but until I do, it's the 10% rule that is in effect in our house.

Thanks, ALL.....You're right, Rossman, he HAS been feeding himself!!! One meal a day, didn't pack lunch, no veggies and all starches. Oh well, we'll get it back to normal now that I'm back.
We women do have to watch you guys, you know!!!

Boy is it hot here today----was just as bad in FLa except they had thunderstorms there. We left Friday and drove to Virginia, left virginia at 3 a.m. and didn't hit a bit of traffic till the Long Island Expressway, but what else is new there!!! Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was heading out to the beaches of Long Island yesterday. Oh well, that's why we live here, too.

I know I've only been eating once a day since Lyn is back to work and my INR has risen a bit. All Coumadin and no food. Liver thinks it's having a feast I guess.

Hot and sticky here. I hope something pushes this current system out and replaces it with dry air. The humidity is too much.

Hope your trip was wonderful!!!! Yep, Tyce is doing really well and we couldn't be happier.....I was in Florida when he went to the post-echo consult, so I was even happier down there. I know your parents are down there, yes? We went to a place called "The Villages" near Ocala----have never seen so many people in one place in my whole life----golfing, tennis, pool, polo retirement community with it's own stores, post office, schools, etc.....not my cup of tea, but they loved it.
