Cataract surgery on wargarin

Hi just wondering if anyone had cataract removal while on warfarin.

Yep.....both eyes about 5 years ago. No problem and no need to modify or hold warfarin dosage. I can't believe the positive difference it made in vision.

Thanks for the info. Always have concerns when getting surgery. My brothet had it done a few months ago and he said it was a breeze but he is not on warfarin so nice to hear from someone who knows. Again thanks you put my mind at ease.

Studies have shown that the results of modern cataract surgery are not affected by Warfarin anticoagulation. I had both eyes done 1 1/2 years ago without incident.

I had cataracts removed and stents were implanted for glaucoma and no need to stop warfarin and all went well.
