Caroline, I know you have been busy with all the pre-surgery stuff and hope the Cat Scan went well. Wishing the the very best of surgeries and an uneventful recovery so you can soon be home to enjoy the summer with your family. Godspeed!

Good Luck

I'll be sure to glance over to the Upstate hospital building on Friday to send some extra prayers straight to you!

Thank you everyone!

Thank you everyone!

For the first time in a few weeks, I am actually looking forward getting it over with! There have been days... I am sure you all know. The CT scan last night showed that the aortic root at 4 cm, so the root will not be replaced. I talked to my surgeon this evening and had a message from my cardiologist, so I will call him tommorrow. I have decided to participate in an atrial fibrilliation study, so I will have an extra set of wires and biopsy, so if I do develop AF, they can do additional measurements.

So the bag is almost packed. The cupboards and freezer are full for husband and 3 children.

I feel very confident all will go well and I will be with all of you whom have climbed the mountain before me.

I can't thank this site enough for getting me through my bad days and preparing me for Friday!

You are in my prayers and the shirt "is in the mail" so they say.

You will do great!
