I have a cardiac cath scheduled for Nov.4 at John's Hopkins. The Dr.wants to check my arteries before deciding on surgery.I'm on the borderline (according to the surgeon, cardio)with my valve and aneurysm. The surgeon thinks if any of my arteries have significant blockages, then that will tip the scales towards surgery.I'm nervous about the test because if nothing is found then I'm back to the waiting room.Dr.Cameron is leaving it up to me to have the surgery if I want to (like I really want to!!!).I haven't decided on when at this point. All of you have helped me try to come to grips with this.

Good luck with your cath. I'm sure you have mixed emotions about what you hope they find - finding a significant blockage would take the decision out of your hands (well, sort of). I hope that the results turn out the way that is best for you and your health.

The best I can offer in the way of support is to pray that you allow God to guide you in your decision.
