Thanks everybody for the concern and good advice. Turns out this guy has some insurance (i dont know how much) and assets (??) and I have hired a personal injury attorney. Ross's point is valid though as in this case the guy is insured with a low caliber insurance company (surprise!) and my attorney is concerned that they may just fold up a la AIG. (thanks de-regulators) The only saving grace is that I have a large policy myself (250/500) with State Farm. I dont know where this will end up but I certainly am tired of hospitals. Some things are just beyond our control. I have another appt. with an ortho on Sat. for my spine symptoms (my left leg has radiating pain and tingling) and my cardiologist wants to keep an even closer look at me as I have a somewhat already enlarged distal aorta. (3.8 cm) Every little chest symtom now drives me nuts....

I feel for you. I went through a windshield 3 months after my first surgery. ouch! Happy 10th birthday that was.

That is incredible james...surviving a double whammy.

The update for me is that my surgeon now wants to see me pronto. I having these left of mid line pain and they are concerned it could be a symptomatic aorta which is already dilated. There are two opinions one to intervene and the other to observe closely. A gray area indeed. Time to become introspective and philosophical....
I will keep everybody posted.

OH my goodness, Marfaned. Very sorry this happened to you. Thoughts/prayers en route, of course.

And ... good luck with your meeting/appointment with your surgeon.
