I'd agree, tom, the interpretation is the key. My cardiologist is known (not altogether pleasantly) for insisting on personally reviewing all echo data before making any diagnosis or recommendation. As I understand it, many doctors simply rely on the report prepared by others. Not only does that (the way my cardio does it) tend to make the results more consistent, but also seems to make the technician doing the scan extremely careful.
