Just wanted to get a head start on sending good wishes to everyone having surgery this week. Michael, Kristi, JC Davis (Joe) and Rita Ann, we wish you all an easy climb over the mountain and an uneventful recovery.:)

Wishing you all VERY successful surgeries. We will be waiting to hear the good news!

Do you all have your snow boots on, so you can hike up that mountain? That's a disadvantage to a December surgery--snow in the higher elevations!

Good luck to everyone. By this time next week, it will all be over with, and we'll be reading posts about how well you did.:)

See you on the other side of this--
Mary

Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you. We'll be looking forward to hearing about your climb over the mountain, so have someone post news to us as soon as possible (and then we look forward to hearing from each of you)....

Good Luck to all of you having surgery this week. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will be looking for your post op postings.

Adding my wishes

Adding my wishes

Just want to add my good wishes for all of you. My only regret is that I did not find this site before my surgery. We will all be thinking of you and praying for an easy and speedy recovery for each of you.

Thanks for all the good wishes!

Thanks for all the good wishes!

My seven year old son was pretty much melting down today...screaming at his friends, hitting me, and basically losing it. I have so much I want to get done before Tuesday, but had to drop all to deal with him...so we went to the hospital and looked in at the Cardiac Intensive care unit, the step-down unit and some other floor. One nurse came and showed us around and he asked her if people die from this surgery which brought tears to my eyes. She answered him honestly, but in such a way as to minimize his fears. I think we both felt better after seeing the hospital.

He is trying so hard to be brave, esp. about staying with his father and being away from me for so long. After the hospital, on the way to Chuckie Cheese he said, "This is hardest on you mommy, but second hardest on me!" Some friends had us over for dinner so we ate beef and spinach (keeping up those iron levels) and are now ready to go.

Still no real sense of calm, but I am feeling like the world is a beautiful place.

We'll be waiting for you!

We'll be waiting for you!

On the other side of the mountain. My recovery from surgery was what I was most thankful for this year--while not completely without hiccups, it was pretty darn smooth. I'm praying for you all to have peace about your upcoming surgeries, and for all to be smooth and successful. Make sure that someone knows how to let us know how you're doing, we'll all be stressing until we hear something!
Hugs to you all--it's going to be all right! Just ask for the Versed LOL.

Good luck!

Best wishes and good luck to our late November friends. My thoughts and heart will be busy keeping you in mind!
