We are at around 5 degrees here right now. However, the temp is scheduled to start climbing and get into the 30's by Monday afternoon. Really crazy weather.

The sun is shining brightly so the cold doesn't bother me. It's the grey skies that bring me down.

It was about 40F this morning when I got up. It may sound warm to some of you BUT it is very windy and that damp wind makes it feel much colder. When John was here , we would go up to MA for the holidays to visit my family. Many times it would be in the single digits but a different kind of cold. Up there I needed gloves, a hat, but with a warm coat I felt fine. Down here I hardly ever wear a hat or gloves but my body is chilled to the bones. It is the humidity that makes it feel so cold.

Temperatures in the single digits here tonight. Winds 20 mph. Brrrrr. I need a heated cape.

I guess our Canadian friends think we're wimps. :p

Yep!
You gotta be tough and have thick blood to live on the Prairies.;) :D
-21C = -5F thats NOT including the wind chill.
It might warm to up -18C = 0
Not the bad really :)

It seems to be a warmer -11 C or 12 F here in "southern" Canada today vs the southern U.S., although with the windchill it feels like -22 C or - 8 F. It's very windy but at least it's sunny for a change.

It's a beautiful sunny day here. Was about 30 this morning and about 33 now. This is colder than normal for this time of the year for us. I haven't even been out today nor do I plan to. I'm sure that makes me a total wimp.

At least we don't have to shovel it!

At least we don't have to shovel it!

It was 38 degrees here in the sunny Phoenix Metro area. For people who are used to 110degree summer days, 38 degrees is frezing and then some.

When I complain about the temperature, Al responds with, "Well, at least you don't have to shovel it!"

We had a severe cold front move in last night. It's only getting up to ~62F today for the high.

Brrrrrrr indeed. :D

It was -4 this morning. My poor Durango groaned when I started it up.

This morning I had -5F (or -21C) with lots of sunshine....me stay in house....and miss going out for Sunday lunch today. This past week was very warm with a high of +40F so who can figure this out?

Evelyn checking in here. 24.8 right now....I'm guessing the high point of the day. Supposed to be in the teens tonight. The sun is bright, but the wind is nasty. Had about 3 inches of snow yesterday into last night....really pretty this morning when we got up. Did have to get out the down jackets, though.

Stay warm, everyone.

Evelyn

That's all right. The house in our part of Maine is in a -20 situation as well, and the neighbor (up there) and I were talking about how the snow had been (four feet), and the strong winds they're experiencing. He's been ice fishing on the lake on and off since before Christmas (there was a brief thaw in early January). His plans today? He packed up a sleeping bag and headed out to one of the more remote local lakes to go ice fishing for really big fish. He'll keep toasty with a campfire.

And yes, he's for real...

Best wishes,

27 degrees in Magnolia Springs ala, this am.....I wanna go to Chile...brrrr

I'm southern born and southern bred and when I die I'll be southern dead:D It is 41 F and the wind is a blowing might near 15 mph.......cold.......too cold for this South Carolina boy:eek: I want a bead of sweat to drop off my nose on to the golf ball.....that way I know my put is lined up:D

Spring has got to be right around the corner:eek:

OK,

It's a cool 27C (approx 82F) here today but it should warm up to 37C (100F) by the end of the week. I don't want summer to ever end although our winter lows rarely get below 8C (46F). Call me a wimp but I know I couldn't cope with your winter temps

This crazy weather has really wreaked havoc on people's health this year in my area...and when I go to start my Dodge Stratus, the poor car just doesn't wanna go...the steering is stiff, (even with the power steering), and the windows don't want to go down.....I don't know who is colder...me or my poor Car (CAH as it's pronounced here in New England.....) LOL :D :D Stay toasty everyone...:D :D :D Harrybaby

LOL! Same here, Harry.

In fact, yesterday, back and forth to the radio station studios for my radio show, I took the LONG way between the studios and my home (which, in reality, is probably a mere 10-15 blocks away, but seems longer with the Fox River and some of downtown between the 2 places) to get the '87 MC LS warmed up. I think it appreciated that ;). he he

Supposed to get a BIT warmer tomorrow ... but, of course, snow is also in the forecast. Then, cold temps by midweek again. Although, the forecast (for now, anyway) is calling for temps in the 30s next weekend, which would be better for the trips back'n'forth to the radio station....

BTW, Rob ... I saved Carrie Underwood for you next week if you are able to tune in ;). I'll probably post the playlists from yesterday's show tomorrow night....
