Bizarre test results

INR tests for the past 4 tests have been 3.9 on exactly the same dose of warfarin. This morning I double-checked back to back within minutes and both tests were 3.9. So I assume my XS is working properly.

It's possible Lance. I just had 3 weeks worth of 2.8's in a row. Grabbed my son and poked him to make sure my machine was on and his came back 1.1.
Doesn't happen very often, but it can happpen.

That's comforting. I was beginning to wonder if my XS was "stuck" on 3.9.

If 3.9 comes up next week I'll stick somebody else. LOL!

Lance, what is even more disturbing is going to the hospital lab monthly only to have 3 consecutive
results of 2.7
I asked my doc if someone was screwing up...!!
Now I can test and re-test to my heart's desire....no more stress.

Three 1-month interval test results at the same level of INR are very unusual as well.

Maybe there should be a poll asking how many of share this experience.

I tell people that three INRs in a row the same happens about as often as getting three of a kind on a slot machine.

Sometimes I will get 3 or 4 people in a row with the same INR and I start to wonder the same thing. I then test myself and I always get something around 1.
