No, I don't have a child I haven't told you about LOL - it's the 2 year anniversary of Jim's AVR next month , and I'm thinking we should do something to celebrate. Last year we were in Copenhagen but we'll be in the UK this year.
So has anybody got any suggestions? I'm not taking him anywhere we're likely to get wet at this time of year (like kayaking!) 'cos we'll freeze our butts off, but otherwise I'm open to any brainstorming you can throw at me.
I kind of feel that we should do something that demonstrates he's OK now - he still gets the occasional bout of self-doubt and says he still isn't feeling completely back to normal (this usually comes after a whole week of overtime at work with a bad cold or something so who wouldn't feel less than 100%?) and I know it's something that takes time but it would be nice to prove to him that he really is "fixed". I know he's better and fitter than he was this time last year, and if he looks at it objectively he agrees, but I'd like some way more memorable than a hike or a bike ride in the forest to prove it to him.
So, I'm after something that's fun, unusual, and will leave us with that "isn't it great to be alive" feeling afterwards. And preferably that doesn't break the bank .
(Incidentally, I think the timing's more important to me than Jim - I asked what he fancied doing to celebrate the other day, and he couldn't even remember if it was 2 or 3 years just goes to show anniversaries etc aren't that important to some people!)
Thanks in advance for all your undoubtedly excellent suggestions .
Gemma.
