Ally got released from the hospital on Friday. She got to ring the bell on the ICU floor. Every transplant patient gets to ring the bell when they go home. She will have physical therapy come to the house to help her regain the strength in her legs. She still walks with a walker & has trouble getting up & down after sitting. Her 1st heart biospy came back a perfect zero.

Wow, good for her. What a struggle, may her life be rich and pain free. The gods have been kind to her.

That is great news. I met a fellow the other day who had his first heart transplant 25 years ago and would you believe, his second one 5 years ago. He said that the last heart was even a better match than the first! He said, he feels like he has won the lottery twice. Now, wouldn't it be nice for others to not have to play the 'lottery' game and have this new technology available. Thanks for the post.

Ally continues to improve. She is down to taking 14 meds instead of the orginial 21. She will begin Cardic Rehab in May & is well enough to travel from her
parents house to her home where she will stay for a couple of weeks. Next big event will be check ups the 2nd week of May.
