Sad and frustrating for the Rockies for sure, given the extraordinary run they had at the end of the season. I wonder if much will be written about the 8-day layoff they had between the final out in the NLCS and the first pitch of the WS. I still think, as I'm betting others do, that if the Rockies had not had that much of a rest they might've been a bit more formidable opponent in the WS.
Of course, we'll never know.
Congrats, Red Sox!
And, yes, onto next season.
Heh ... and that A Rod situation in NY is certainly an interesting start to the off season.....

Saddest words in the English language: "No more baseball."
But thankfully there is the next season to look forward to, when all teams start even.
I agree, Cort. I believe the 8-day layoff had to hurt the Rockies. Still, I believe the Red Sox clearly were the best team in baseball this season. Congrats to them and their many fans.
