Al,
I've been on vacation and am just now learning of your prostate trouble. My husband was diagnosed almost four years ago when he was 56, opted for surgery and bounced back pretty quickly. The experience put his older brother on alert as there is evidence that it can run in families and he was diagnosed 3 months later. My dentist and his brother were also diagnosed within months of each other. So if you have any brothers, urge them to get regular testing! I'm confident you'll be fine, but I know from going through this with my husband that it's a stressful experience and creates some anxiety. We both found it much more worrisome than the valve replacement surgery I'll be having later this month. Please know that I'll keep you in my thoughts and will look for posts on your progress. Best of luck!

Sue
