I had to have a Pacemaker too DodgerFan, for same reason. I had AVR 18 months ago now, and the PM a week after the main event. It was worrying before they did the PM, but afterwards I have had no problems at all - I am not aware of it, and in fact it was 4 months before I even thought about it again. I joined a Pacemaker forum similar to this for valves just to find out what I SHOULD be aware of! No problems with airport security, and in fact I now don't even tell them that I have a PM and just walk through the security arch like everyone else - no problems experienced. I am sure you will be fine.
