I have been saying so many prayers and am looking for some great news, Noelene I know how you must be feeling, my son is the heart patient and I would much rather it be me than to have my 'baby" no matter what age, go thru any of this, so I am saying prayers for the whole family. Whew! This waiting is really hard - and it's NOT being helped by the time difference. Depending on just which part of Australia she lives, It is closing in on 1 AM (Sat) on their east coast and around 11 PM (Fri) over in Perth.
(this being close to 11 AM here EST in the US).


I am just praying that they are keeping her sedated longer due to the more extensive work they had to do.

So ... maybe in 6 hours or so, they'll wake her up?

I was reading all your posts about Tonia's surgery yesterday and couldn't find the words to add to what everyone else already had written. This is horrible what she and her family are going through.
The first thing I did this morning was go on the site to see if there was any news today. The waiting will be hard. I'll say a prayer for her as well.
Keep fighting Tonia.

Shes not out of the woods yet, but this is certainly a step in the right direction!


Hi Ross, I gave Ton your wishes and love and all and she nodded her head so she is on track at last, or is that again? However I saw her late today for a few hours and couldn't believe how much she had improved since last night. That wasn't my girl, This one is. She could nod/shake her head and knew me and Ned and responded to questions etc. She is uncomfortable but not for much longer as they decided to let her warm up while I was there but they will keep her drugged to keep her comfortable. I would say by now, she just want s to roll over . The tube will come out tonight or in the morning - great - and then she can have 2 drops of water I expect. Blisss. Her ICU specialist and others are amazed by her strength and achievements. I have nothing but praise and love for the girl. Her wish has been granted thus far - so she had better keep on keeping on. Tomorrow will telll if there is any damage from the "heart stops" - I'm hoping that is the last hurdle. Then she can just relax and mend.

Hey my friend, don't forget you've promised me we would meet one of these days and yes, I WILL take you up on it!!! That's only 2 days to go now until I'm in NZ so you never know!! I phoned your house yesterday and talked to Matt and he was very friendly. I'll keep on checking on you before I leave Brazil and then once I get to Wendy's. We'll be in touch so, make sure you get better double quick!! Bruna and Robert are also praying for you and with this such extensive chain of prayers making its way to Australia, God must've worked out by now that you're very much loved by everyone!! Hang in there!!
