This thread has turned into one of the primary reasons I have been slowly gravitating away from this site.

I think I fit in that category also. Sorry guys, but some of this stuff just gets old at times. It's like re-runs of the Hatfields and McCoys all the time. :(

I do tend to agree that Coumadin gets a bad rap, and certainly I get tired of all the "rat poison" jokes I hear from the uninformed and ignorant. But maybe I'm biased just because I've had minimal problems with it.

Or maybe it's just that I'm too busy getting on with my life, trying to take advantage of the opportunities that come with the extended life that my St. Jude valve has given me. :)

Come on folks!

Come on folks!

Let's be positive.:) Here's my suggestions

-Use the magic of internet hyperlinking  to ensure that we point people towards a central store of useful information, rather than duplicating it everywhere ;)

-Always try and put something new in your posts. ;)
Here's my new bit for this post - a study of the Shelhigh valve Haemodynamics

-Those of us who have been here longer know more about myths and facts than the newcomers. Cut them some slack - often these statements are half truths made out of ignorance, though for the odd unlucky soul they are a big deal. correct the misinformation in a concise manner, and keep track of what we're after.

And sign off with a cheesy smile :D

Just a bit about repeating info....it's how someone like me finally catches on. I've learned so much (that I hope I'll never need) about the mechanical/tissue issue and the truth about coumadin. If I had to use coumadin and had never heard of vr.com I would have believed what my poor brother was told...all the wrong stuff.
