Hey Bill,
I am hoping that by know your shortness of breath and such are gone, but if not. Insist on a follow up. Maybe it is nothing, but if it is still happening, get assertive!
We gotta keep you healthy!

Sounds like you need to chang both doctors. They are not apparently worried of finding out what is causing the swollen ankles. Mine is caused from water retention. But you may have a another problem that you need a more reliable doctor to check this problem out. And your cardio needs to be changed also. You could have rentention in your legs as well. Just press your finger lightly in the calf area, if it changes color, you have either fluid buildup ot water rentention. You have cause to worry and need to change from both doctors. Keep us posted and good luck.

Thanks, Caroline. My GP's office does seem to be kicking things into higher gear at least. I thought I wouldn't get my test results from last Thursday until next week cause she's on vacation but they called me Monday with them. My creatinine is exactly the same, elevated at 1.3 and now my K+ is low cause of the bumex so I have to take potassium tablets and they want me to see her first thing Monday when she comes back. I guess the next thing is to see if my echo shows anything, and if not it will be off the the kidney doc I guess. No, wait, I know because I have insurance that doesn't need a referral. I couldn't get an echo til 11/3. That's what drives me nutty....the waiting. Yes, my calfs change colors when pressed. It's not too noticeable because I'm very fair but the fingerprint lingers. You can see the ridges and swirls as they say on CSI.
