That was my story except I felt so good the first few days, I overdid it and caused the wound in groin to leak. That set me back a couple of weeks, but I was driving after 6 days. The doctor even released me from the hospital after 1 full day and OK'd it even though I told him I would be at home alone that night.I saw a few problematic stories. So, I'm wondering if anyone has any "Just a few days of pain and swelling, driving a week later, great impovement in my quality of life." stories?
I had a problem with blood pressure spikes before TAVR and still have them. I had really hoped they would be resolved, but likely they are related to metabolism as well.
This is a weird problem that usually happens in winter. My BP will be normal for several days and then suddenly spike to 220/130. By the next morning it is back to normal and then repeats the spike in the evening. They have tried many different meds and none of them reduce the spike, but the next morning my BP is so low I get light headed.Good to know.
Surprised your cardiologist can't smooth out your BP. My wife had her BP all over the place and a low dose beta blocker seemed to smooth her out.
I think the time to look into this will be in another 5 years.if anyone has any "Just a few days of pain and swelling, driving a week later, great impovement in my quality of life." stories?
