I had my annual echo today...It was at 11 a.m. and I was called at 11 a.m.:) A very nice tech..darken room..and I almost fell asleep.(Rainy day in Georgia)..This was my 5th echo since my surgery.. 2 the first year and 1 every year...for some reason today..I was very relaxed....just laughed when he would turn the noise on..the swishing sound.......Will see Cardio next week.. The 5 minute annual visit.:D ....Things do get boring..Thank goodness. but, still like the annual checkups.:) ....(Echo)..Bonnie
..

Glad you were relaxed Bonnie and hope that all turns out fine. The grandchildren are beautiful and you have many blessings to be thankful for this year!

Bonnie, I also had mine here while back. I think the reason we are so relaxed is because we are so used to it. It's just routine. Hope everything turns out good for you.

some fun,huh?

I had mine about 2 weeks ago, first one in about 4 years. The tech was knockout good looking( like Bonnie) with a southern accent. Refugee from Katrina, but had no trouble being hired right away by Inova. My PCP called me all excited after he got the report. Apparently, pleasantly surprised that the St. Jude was still working.

Why is it that we remember what our echo tech's look like? I remember 3 years ago, I had a very good-looking tech..even mentioned it to my Cardio..He said, they have many...that they sub?.. Don't know the word...and last year..mine was kinda grouchy and this week..just nice..:p Is it because we are bare from the waist up? With just a flimsy gown and darken room?..:p ..Glad your heart rate didn't go up:D with that Southern Belle playing with your chest.:p ..I watched the clock and he took 45 minutes.....minus a cell=phone call and 2 knocks on the door......Are you comfortable with an echo every 4 years?...My Cardio wants me to have one every year..Bonnie

Every 4 years?

Every 4 years?

I belong to the school of "no news is good news". As long as you feel OK I'm not sure what an echo could tell you that would be helpful. Now if you have symptoms that's another story.

Yuo mean once you hav a valve replacement you have to keep getting checkups the rest of your life for it.

What a NICE surprise

What a NICE surprise

My Cardio's clinical nurse just called..My heart almost stopped. BUT, she said, I was just calling to tell you..your echo was fine.:) :) :) :) ( and I didn't ask for them to call)..I told her, you made my Thanksgiving....:D She only said, always medicate before you go to a dentisit...and I told her..I will see you next Tuesday for my 6 month checkup with Cardio......I have always said, they (Cardio's) are the Best......Bonnie

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........Bonnie!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...........Bonnie!

Sounds like you enjoyed your echo waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too much!:D Glad to hear that it's all good news, though! Wish we could get to the once or twice a year thing. We have had like five already since just coming home in August............maybe Katie's PC will back off now that things seem to be going well. I know my wallet would like that as well.............heehee! Even copays DO add up! Many hugs. J.
