Andrew has been taken off the paralytic drug and within 3 hours was answering yes and no questions. He knew where he was and even said he remembered the flight in. This is one encouraged mama!

We don't want him to work too hard right now. He is doing well- obviously. He said he is not in any pain and when I asked if he wanted to hear some music he nodded yes, and when I asked if he wanted to hear Greater Vision he said yes!! I am just SO encouraged and his nurse was pleased at how calm he is being.

Just pray he can stay off that drug and yet still receive the respitory support he needs. He is being evaluated day by day about the surgery. Once again I am happy to take it slow like the move here. I can't help but wonder if God has another mirale for him. I am just so happy to "see" him once again.

Keep praying he is still a very sick big boy! but his blood culture is still negative for day three, his kidneys are producing more urine on their own. More to praise God for. Another day!

God bless,
Wendy

Another good night! still negative on the blood cultures on day number four so this is good! He continues to produce some urine and is not complaining of pain or discomfort. He is a little thirsty but is being a trooper about just getting swabbed for moisture. Sure love that kid!

Joy is coming to see us today which will be nice. She was such a blessing to me when she took care of my "baby" when I was so many miles away. She is a gift!

Emotionally things are up and down, but at the moment I am feeling optimistic. Knowing there are no promises am encouraged that he is heading in the right direction.

I got to talk to Andrew's card Dr Tsao today, since she was at confrence this is the first she has been able to see him. We are talking about a new ICD and having to make decisions on the best type for him and the timimg with the up coming surgery. That will of course be a CV surgery decision and I am sure they will work out all the details. He has an Entrust ICD now and we were talking about going to an Insync (sure I spelled that wrong) to have the capacity for syncrinized pacing to possibly help his heart function. Amazing devices these are.

Keep praying and holding us up for wisdom, health, strength for each day and especially grace.

Romans 5
1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

in His grace,
Wendy

Andrew has continued to do well today.

He had a visitor and really seemed to love to see him. He got a card from his classmates and teachers and really seemed to enjoy that.

He is an encouragement to me the way he keeps fighting. I hate for him to have to go through another heart surgery but as has been said what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. That is so true.

He had an echo today but I didn't hear anything on it yet. Probably tomorrow.

I had pizza at the RMH tonight and got to talk with some of the families here. What a blessing this place is for us.

Good night and keep on keeping on!

heart hugs,
Wendy
